“Wonderful setting, plenty of parking, Room very clean and impressively decorated, though peeling decorative strips on the wardrobe door detracted a little. Breakfast excellent and service and breakfast first class. The same could not be said for evening service on our first night in the Elements restaurant - 2 1/4 hours for two courses and we had to go ask for the dessert menu was unacceptable. In fairness, evening service on our second night was much improved. Plenty of choice on the evening...
“We stayed at this hotel for one night. The room itself was spacious but very worn. The chairs were falling apart and the carpet was very stained. The biggest issue was that the shower drain was blocked and would not drain. This made the shower unusable. The hotel would not move us to another room as they claimed to be fully booked. They also would not send maintenance to the room until the next day. This meant that we could not have a shower in our room.”
“Beautiful country hotel, small and personal service, delightful comfortable en-suite rooms, warm inviting pool - often to ourselves, incredible top class gourmet food - formal dining and bar food served in the warm and cosy bar area or the relaxing lounge. So much choice at breakfast, all delicious, everything you could want. Can’t wait to go back in summer to enjoy the open terrace overlooking the pond. A real joy to stay here.”
