I liked this hotel in every way but the most outstanding thing was the view from the diningroom of a really lovely garden with mature trees, shrubs etc. As the whole of the wall was glass, the view was probably the most spectacular I'd ever seen from a hotel dining room.

Managed to arrange an early check in as we had a wedding to attend. Arrived to a good sized room with more than double the normal tea/coffee/milk for making a cuppa,- so drab when hotels only leave a couple of small milk cartons. Breakfast served with a smile, I chose the salmon and scrambled eggs and was genuinely surprised by the size of the portion,, My wife chose the pancakes and she struggled to eat them all. Would definitely stay again if we visit Spalding again. Great value for money

The room was separate to the hall, and was large and spacious. The bed was very large and comfortable. Nice little kitchenette area, if needed. Bathroom was clean. Nice bar and breakfast was good. Just 2 minimal negatives were that the room smelt a bit musty on arrival, but nothing that opening the windows didn't solve and when it rained it dripped from the high guttering onto the small canopy above the front door which kept us awake for a while in the early hours. Other then that, a nice little stopover. About 10 minute walk into town for plenty of food choices.

Really clean room & the gentleman in reception on arrival was really helpful and polite. The breakfast offered has a great selection however there wasn’t anybody in reception to greet me in the morning so was unsure on the process. My bed had a hole in it where the springs had dropped through meaning I barely slept all night. Reported this to the lady in reception in the morning who said ‘thanks for telling us’ and didn’t apologise for the inconvenience. Really nice property and would stay again if the bed wasn’t broken but this lady wasn’t very welcoming either hence the low rating. I was disappointed that no apology was made despite paying for a bed I was unable to sleep in.

The check in was excellent and Olga was delightful, really friendly and helpful. There was parking out the front and the room was bright. The breakfast was great as everything was cooked to order and plenty of choice. The hotel is quite old, but well maintained and nice gardens. Good location. The staff made our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cley Hall hotel and would willingly return. The car parking was easy and Ben welcomed us and gave us all the essential information on our arrival. Our room and bedding were clean and comfortable, and we slept well. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choice and quickly cooked. All in all a comfortable and relaxing stay. Would definitely return.

I booked this accommodation for my Dad to stay in for one night while visiting me. He told me that his only criticism was that there was no handle to hold on to in the bath/shower and the lighting in the room wasn't great. There was limited parking, so Dad had to leave his car at my home and I dropped him off and picked him up in the morning.
