Step from your porch onto the soft white sand & crystal clear water.

  • Rake n Scrape is a quaint bungalow on the beautiful two mile long beach of Spanish Wells. Evoking the feel of an old beach cottage but with modern amenities like air conditioning, TV and wifi. Enjoy your morning coffee or happy hour on your private deck overlooking the water, listening to the sound of the waves washing on the shore. You won't want to leave!
    Many guests say they enjoy the enclosed outdoor shower so much they even used either of the indoor showers! The water is so clear with a soft, white sandy bottom that is perfect for swimming or using the included kayaks and paddle boards. In the heart of the quaint lobster fishing town of Spanish Wells, food and liquor stores are very walkable, but we recommend renting a buggy (golf cart) to explore the island and adjoining Russell Island. Lounge chairs, kayaks and paddle boards are included.

Clean and quaint accommodation in a wonderful location. It was wonderful to sit on the back deck right next to the beach. We used the paddleboards and kayaks every day. The hosts were friendly and very easy to communicate with. We can’t wait to return.

Spanish Wells is such a special place, and we truly hope it never changes. Our family of four had an amazing stay at Rake & Scrape. The house was perfect for us—clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and in a great location.Our kids absolutely loved spending time on the beach searching for shells and catching little crabs, and it made for memories we'll never forget. Lori and Vince were incredible hosts from the moment we arrived until the day we left. They were welcoming, responsive, and genuinely made us feel at home.This trip was exactly the escape we needed from our busy everyday lives, and Rake & Scrape was the perfect place to unwind. We would highly recommend this home to anyone visiting Spanish Wells. Thank you again, Lori and Vince, for your wonderful hospitality. We look forward to seeing you both again in the future!

We went here for our 30th Wedding Anniversary, and loved everything about the home and the island. Everyone was so friendly and the island is not flooded with tourists. If you are looking for a relaxed trip, this is the island for you! I found the Spanish Wells forum on Facebook and joined, which allows you to see food being prepared by locals. My only suggestion is a true couch or love seat in the living room. The bench like seating was a little uncomfortable after several days.We have already talked about coming back in the future!!!Thank you for an awesome week!

This cottage was the perfect place for our stay in SW. You can’t beat the location and the views! The property managers were so helpful. I can’t wait to book our return visit!

Could not have been more pleased!

We had never been to Spanish Wells and loved every minute of it. A large part of our enjoyment was having such a beautiful and nice place to stay. Everything about Rake n Scrape was comfortable and exceptionally clean. Just as seen on the listing...and better!

Family Christmas Trip

This was my second time staying at this property- and it truly is amazing. Gorgeous views and just foot steps to the sand. This trip was my husband, 3 kids and myself- and the cottage was perfect. I can’t wait to return to SW, and this property.

Back again

This is the second time that I’ve rented this beach house. It’s perfect for a couple or a small family. The view can’t be beat. The property managers are incredibly helpful and kind.

Amazing place and location

This place is right on the beach and has a beautiful view of the water. It isn’t big but it is very comfortable. The owners are incredibly helpful and nice. I highly recommend Spanish wells and this location.

Pure bliss

This is our second stay at Rake N Scrape, and we are already looking to plan our next vacation there. The house has everything you need, the beds are comfortable, and the beach is peaceful. The property manager, Vince, was so nice and met us at the docks, made sure we knew everything about the house, and brought us the most delicious mangoes. Spanish Wells is a beautiful island, and we look forward to visiting it again.

Paradise Found!

This cottage was perfect for our girls trips. The location in town and directly on the beach met our every expectation. Vince and Lori were excellent! They were very responsive, answered our every question and made our experience seem effortless. A beautiful property!

Wonderful Trip

Girls trip was fabulous at Rake n Scrape!!! House is adorable with everything you need. Location could not be better. Vince and Lori were fantastic to work with!! No complaints and would definitely stay again!

Cozy Cottage with Amazing Views

Calm and Beautiful

We loved this darling cottage. The location was perfect, just steps from the most calming bay. Inside, the beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the interesting and laidback decor.Vince and Lori were great. Vince met us at the water taxi dock to show us to the cottage and helped us work out a plan when our incoming flight got switched to a different airport. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Great family spot with paradise in your backyard!

Our family of four enjoyed every minute of our time at Rake N Scrape. Vince was great. The views were great. The island was incredible. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the chairs on the back deck. I hope we make it back soon and will stay in this spot again.
