“The Yearling will always have a very special place in my heart. It is old Florida charm at its finest. The cabins are not 5-star accommodations, but rather exactly what you would expect to find located on Cross Creek between Lake Orange and Lake Lochloosa. They are clean, comfortable and offer an excellent view of the creek. The neighborhood peacocks call to each other while birds and other wildlife occasionally travel by. “We have stayed with them before and loved it so much that we wanted to come back again. It was even better than we remembered and we can't wait to come back a third time. Very clean and love the fenced yard. Our dog Sammy had a good time chasing lizards! “This was the perfect house for our weekend in Ocala for our granddaughter’s high school graduation. The house has everything you need and was very clean. There were very thoughtful extra’s in the kitchen and in the pool area. Adults in there 70’s & 40’s plus teenagers all had a great time.”

“We stayed in the cottage while attending a UF graduation. It was a pleasure staying away from the congestion of G'ville. Instead, we enjoyed a beautiful drive via 441 right into town, about 15 minutes away. The mattresses were pretty soft - a 2 night max for me, thus the 4 stars. But the cottage was comfortable, we loved sitting on the front porch, enjoying the breeze & the scent of jasmine. The location didn't lend itself to taking walks, but there are nearby options for that.”

“When we checked in the dirty towels and linens were in a pile on the floor and the beds were unmade. We called the property manager and she was very apologetic - apparently the cleaning service had not come yet which she said never happens. We went out for dinner and everything was very clean when we got back.The house and pool were wonderful.”

“The property was not that difficult to find, although it is off a rather bumpy dirt road. But there's a gate to the property, and you really do feel like you're in your own private oasis.
