Nos fue muy mal ,porque reservamos 1 De luxe apartment con desayuno, WIFI gratis, elementos de higiene personal y servicio de limpieza diaria, teóricamente ubicado en Priora Petra 6. No cumplieron con nada de ello. La reserva y el pago lo hicimos en marzo de 2016. Pese a ello, Mr. Ivan, seguramente " por un error involuntario" nos alojo la primera noche en un apartamento que no reunía ninguna de las características contratadas, siendo generoso tal vez 1 estrella, ante nuestro insistente reclamo, debimos mudarnos al día siguiente a un departamento de condiciones similares al que surge de las fotografías de Diocles, cómodo, pero se trata de un edificio en construcción, sin internet y sin limpieza. Ninguno de nuestros reclamos fueron atendidos. Conclusión perdimos valiosas horas de nuestras vacaciones, mal atendidos e incomunicados por no tener Internet, siendo este el único punto de contacto con el mundo habida cuenta que el idioma croata es imposible de entender, por lo que la TV no puede ser utilizada como pasatiempo.

No volveria

No volveria a este hotel, llegamos y nadie estaba ahi para recibirnos, de casualidad una guia nos pudo ayudar poque conocia al dueño y lo llamo. Ahi le indico que las llaves estaban en la cafeteria de abajo del hotel. Ofrecen agua de cortesia que nunca llego, OLOR A PODRIDO en la escalera de ingreso y baño de la habitacion, muy buena ducha. Mesita de luz de un lado de la cama faltante. Buena ubicaion pero igualmente todo queda cerca en split, no hace falta ubicarse dentro del palacio. El acceso a la habitacion es por una escalera.

Mysigt, rent och rymligt i gamla stan

Mysigt guesthouse mitt inne i gamla stan med nära till affärer, marknader, restauranger och barer. Smal, brant trappa upp till rummet (jag bodde två trappor upp). Stort, rent rum med skön säng, litet kylskåp och vattenkokare. Det enda jag saknade var mer avställningsytor. Rymlig, bra dusch i det fräscha badrummet. God frukost (välj croissant!) på caféet nedanför. Ganska lugnt och tyst, trots caféet nedanför (som har öppet även på kvällen). Innehavaren både hämtade och lämnade mig på flygplatsen (samt bar min väska upp till och ned från rummet). Hotellet har ingen reception och det gick inte att betala med kort.

'TOP' Notch!

Yes there are 70 stairs (counting the 10 outside) to get to this top floor apartment but who cares? It's Split and you're on vacation!! The space itself is roomy, clean, and comfortably equipped. Host Ivan is most gracious and very helpful. Biggest concern? Getting bags up and down those stairs. Solution? People are so nice, 2 men simply helped us for free when we arrived. When we left we offered a promising young student 100 Kuna to bring them down and out to the promenade. So again, STAIRS, but who cares?? Loved it here!

Heart of Split - Amazing Location & Service

Best location in the heart of Split's happening city centre! Ivan, our host, despite recovering from surgery, ensured my friends and I were taken care of with our luggage and room comfort. Despite being on the 3rd floor with only stairs, room was very clean, bathroom was modern and we even had a kitchenette. Bit noisy with nightlife at night. Breakfast was awesome - choice of eggs and omelettes, so it was hearty - though it was tough to find the restaurant, without being shown the location which is only mins offsite. Luckily we had another guest show us where it was. Would recommend strongly! We love Split and can't wait to return! PS. Restaurant just outside the entrance of the guesthouse - Kitchen 5 has Amazing food too - bit pricey Awesome!

Great location, fantastic room

We had a great stay in this newly completed group of rooms, we were on the top floor which was a couple of flights of stairs but not a problem if your active like us.... The location was fantastic, 2 minute from main harbour, breakfast is provided by a local restaurant and was basic but fine, coffee great. Only negative is there is no desk but we were greeted at the taxi and shown around and to our room, other than that a lovely time was had by all!

Beautiful townhouse, with nice rook in centre

The building and room were both lively as was the host Slight delay in getting the keys but luckily Split is a lovely place with lots of places to have a drink :)

Huone oli tilava ja kivasti sisustettu ja palvelu oli oikeen mukavaa. Miinusta pitää antaa aamupalasta, joka oli heikko (kahvikaan ei kuulunut) ja huone siivottiin kolme kertaa viikon vierailun aikana.

Huoneistoa ei voi sanoa hotelliksi. Löysimme kadulta henkilön, joka vei meidät huoneistoomme. Mitään toimistoa ei ollut vaan maksukin tapahtui seuraavana päivänä kadulla. Aamupala ei todellakaan ollut buffet-aamiainen kuten varatessamme luulimme. Saimme valita kolmesta vaihtoehdosta yhden joko paahtoleipää ja marmeladia, munakkaan tai munakokkelia. Kaikki muu maksoi. Kävimme kahtena päivänä viidestä aamiaisella. Onneksi keittiövarustus oli hyvä ja teimme siellä ruokaa. Asunto oli kaikenkaikkiaan ihana. Kun saimme suihkunkin toimimaan. Iso ja viihtyisä. Ja asunnon sijainti oli loistava. Aivan historiallisessa keskustassa ja silti öisin hiljaista eli ikkunaeristeet toimivat.

Kyseessä ei ole varsinainen hotelli, vaan muutama yksittäinen huone keskellä Splitin vanhan kaupungin keskustaa. Tuloaika sovitaan henkilökunnan kanssa etukäteen, sillä mitään vastaanottotiskiä tms. ei ole. Tämän takia myös henkilökunnan tavoittaminen akuuteissa tilanteissa saattaa olla hieman hankalaa. Henkilökunta oli kuitenkin hyvin ystävällistä ja vastasi s-postikyselyihimme muutaman tunnin sisällä, ja mm. hoiti kuljetuksemme lähtöpäivänä lentokentälle. Huone oli melko hyvätasoinen ja remontoitu aika hiljattain, kaikki oli hyväkuntoista ja toimivaa. Äänieristys oli samoin hyvää tasoa, sillä edes ikkunoiden alla olleiden kahden eri ravintolan terasseilta ei kuulunut häiritsevää meteliä huoneeseen. Kunnollisia pimennysverhoja sen sijaan olisimme kaivanneet ikkunoihin, samoin laskutilaa ja vaatteiden ripustusmahdollisuuksia oli niukasti. Huone siivottiin hieman epäsäännöllisellä rytmillä, aivan joka päivä ei käyty siivoamassa, mutta muuten paikat olivat melko siistinä. Liikuntaesteisille huone ei sovellu, sillä sinne pääsi vain jyrkkiä ja kapeita rappusia pitkin. Etukäteen maksettu aamiainen oli järjestetty n.100 metrin päähän, vanhankaupungin aukiolla sijaitsevaan kahvilaan. Meille tämän kahvilan aamiainen oli isohko pettymys, sillä yhdelle hengelle tarjolla oli vain kuppi kahvia tai teetä, sekä yksi valinnainen annos kahvilan halvimmista aamiaisvaihtoehdoista (toasteja tai munia ja pekonia tai omeletti). Nälkä ei juuri lähtenyt.

Good place to stay if you are independent

There is no reception desk and no staff on duty during the day. The only regular visitor is the cleaning lady. After some confusion over our arrival time and having to wait at the neighbouring bistro (keep your phone on for messages) the owner (Ivan) let us into the apartment. It was compact clean and tidy with everything we needed: fridge, TV and air-con in the bedroom shower, toilet and sink in the bathroom. All recently installed. One bed-side shelf had fallen from the wall, but this was the only issue. The building is in the medieval old town surrounded by 3 bistro/restaurants. They were not too noisy (even with the World Cup on the outside TVs) and if we wanted an early night we just closed the double-glazed windows and shut out the chatter. The staff in the nearby Bistros were friendly and served good food too. The stairs would be a problem for anyone with limited mobility.

Small yet adorable studio in Old City, with 2 eateries right below and in the middle of all things wonderfully Split. The owner was ver accomodating and I would wholeheartedly reccomend booking this place!

Perfekt läge

Ett bra rum men låg på tredje våningen med en smal brant trapp. Vid ett ev brandtillbud fanns det ingen annan utrymningsväg. Läget var perfekt i gamla stan, det var lungt på natten. Hade vissa problem att hitta dit då man får kryssa fram i smala gränder. Sängen var lite nedluggen så bägge hamnade i mitten. Frukosten som ingick bestod av ett belopp som man fick beställa för på en närliggande resturang.

double booked !

Arrived at Diocles Apartment, there was nobody there to greet me. Another guest phoned owner and a third party was sent who took me outside of the old town to another apartment which was not associated with the Diocles Apartment. I was informed that I had been double booked. I am extremely annoyed as I wasted my time and was only in Split for the day. In addition to that my new accomodation was 3 star compared to 4 star booking. Also I had to walk back to Diocles for a very poor breakfast.

Guesthouse оставил смешанные чувства: с одной стороны, доставшаяся нам небольшая двухкомнатная квартира в пределах Дворца Диоклетиана в очень хорошем состоянии, ремонт свежий, только что сделанный, чисто, на мини-кухне есть всё необходимое, с другой - хозяина с ключами пришлось ждать больше часа, судя по всему, про нас просто забыли, пришлось звонить и напоминать о себе. Месторасположение кажется идеальным - в самом сердце Сплита, но с другой стороны за это приходится расплачиваться шумом весь день с 6 утра до 2 ночи - под окнами бесчисленные кафе со всеми вытекающими последствиями. Завтрак входит в стоимость проживания, надо идти в одно из кафе в Сплите, но ваучеров не дают, вроде как у них взаимная договоренность, но если в первый день всё прошло гладко, во второй в том же самом кафе кормить уже не хотели и предложили сначала найти и прийти уже с хозяином Diokles. Всё в результате уладилось, но из-за таких мелочей общее неплохое впечатление оказывается смазанным.

Great studio in Split

Great location in the heart of old town Split. Cafe below quiets down by 11. Small but recently renovated with spacious bathroom and comfortable large bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Adequate breakfast buffet included at a nearby restaurant. Excellent value!
