Our party of 6 included two couples and two adult "kids" so for us the house was perfect. The couples had king size beds and their own bathroom and "kids" had their own rooms. We enjoyed the pool, the hot tub, and the kayaks and had a great time. I have never had a property manager anywhere as responsive and communicative as Summer. She is the best!The neighborhood was peaceful, the beds were comfy, and the kitchen was well equiped for our cooking needs. Do be aware that this part of Weeki Wachee has more brackish water. We still saw manatees but the water is not clear as it is closer to the spring. Our crowd wanted the pool so it worked for us. You can kayak to clearer parts of the river.

We had a fantastic time at the Palm Creek Getaway house. The rooms were clean and spacious. I slept like a baby on the comfortable bed, linens, and comfy pillows. Truly a home away from home. The pool was a true blessing in the Florida heat and humidity. We had 7 kayaks to choose from, which was perfect. The outdoor space gave everyone plenty of room, and the kids loved the fire pit to make s'mores at night. The property manager, Summer, was so incredibly sweet, helpful, and a gem amongst the springs. We could not wish for anything more than to come back soon.

Wonderful and Relaxing

I joined up with three former coworkers, a group that has not been together for 12 years, for a 4 day reunion. It was just what we needed—gorgeous location, quiet, on the water with access to kayaks, a hot tub and pool. Plus we had lots of space, enough for us to convene for meals and watching movies and then retreat to our own spaces. The home is well equipped, and so you should not want for anything to whip up that special meal. The screened -in porch areas were luxurious.and the hot tub topped off the experience. I would highly recommend this place.

Perfect location!

The location was perfect for the things we wanted to do! We saw manatees almost every day from our dock. We couldn’t have picked a better place to be on the 4th. Fireworks were going off all around us and neighbors were playing patriotic music, it just made for the perfect 4th of July! The house was big and plenty of room for our party of 6. They had everything we could have needed during our stay. We have no complaints!

Family vacation

I would like to say that this place is beautiful just like the pictures. The area is very nice and clean and so is the place. The house has everything in the kitchen, all you need to worry about is buying what you are going to eat and drink. The pool was clean. I will definitely be coming back again. Thank you Summer for getting back to me with any questions.

Family Vacation to Weeki Watchee

Our family stayed here for 5 nights 6 days. There were 11 of us! 8 adults, 3 children. The house was spacious but a little tight when it came to sleeping. They did have futons & such but I would say this house is more set up for groups of 8 and under. The house itself was very spacious, lots of room on the upper and lower screened in decks. The pool was so refreshing! The kitchen is perfect when cooking meals. I would suggest maybe adding a few frying pans but other then that it was great. We loved kayaking, fishing, & boating. When visiting here, its a must to spend a day kayaking on the Weeki Watchee state park river its absolutely beautiful. We also enjoyed a really nice meal at Bayport Inn which is just a few miles down the road. Summer the property manager is right next door and she was very helpful. The house was clean and beautiful. We would definitely stay here again!

Wij hebben met 2 gezinnen een week het huis gehuurd. Het huis is niet schoon, het toilet liep over dat is een bekend probleem de auto was stuk dat is gerepareerd tijdens ons verblijf maar in het systeem zagen wij dat er achterstallig onderhoud was, diverse stoelen en banken kapot. Summer was behulpzaam en beschikbaar. Helaas vertoond het huis veel mankementen.

Great location and easy access with a boat to the Gulf. A little dirty. Had to rewatch all the dishes before using because they had dried crusty food on them. Outside of that, great property.

Perfect for our scallopping trip

Great house in a "very" quiet neighborhood. Lot of parking space to park and maneuver Mostly everything you need to enjoy the place is there. Beddings and linens are nice. Lot of different places to seat and relax around the house, but nowhere to comfortably seat 8 people together for a meal inside or a drink outside by the pool. Dockage is good, canal is deep, and quick access to the Gulf, but Mud River can get shallow at low tide. It was pleasant to cool down and play in the pool, but it would have been nice to be able to take a quick shower at the pool level. All together it was a great stay and Summer is very helpful. Would not hesitate to rent again.

Memorable and Fun!

We had a wonderful stay at Palm Creek Getaway! I have been visiting the Weeki Wachee/Spring Hill area all my life and now our kids enjoy it as well. For our son’s senior trip he chose this location! The house is spacious and clean and comfortable. There are several comfy spots to sit and relax with the group and spaces to relax quietly on your own. My favorite reading spot was the comfy chair on the west side of the deck. The breeze coming in was heavenly! We enjoyed all the amenities of the house, including the perfect little pool, kayaks, fishing equipment, and bikes. The porches are all screened in and this was great to keep the bugs away! We enjoyed dinner in the deck when we made a seafood feast! The property manager, Summer is right next door and happy to help with anything you’d need. The neighborhood is quiet and nice. Overall it was a beautiful stay and we were so sad to leave this little piece of paradise!

Great place! Not your standard beach trip!

We had a great trip! The place was amazing and had plenty of room for 7 people, but I’m not sure how it would comfortably sleep 11. It was a little farther from the Weeki Wachee River than I thought, which made for a long paddle by kayak not recommended for beginner paddlers. But, if you can handle it, seeing the manatee was worth every bead of sweat (6-7 mile paddle round trip with and against the tide). Otherwise a short drive takes you to Roger’s Park where you can launch for a shorter paddle. However, the private and calmer neighborhood turned out to be more desirable than the “main drag” for our family and as we became acclimated the location ended up being perfect. If you like action and partying, rent something on or closer to the main Weeki Wachee. There are not many beaches in the area (FYI, Hernando Beach is not a beach), but a short pontoon ride landed us on our own tiny private island where we snorkeled with dolphin, needle fish, sting rays, and hermit crabs. Although it wasn’t the ordinary beach trip (we were skeptical when we arrived), it turned out to be one of our most memorable trips to Florida. We will be back again and again. Thanks to Summer for her directions and being a good neighbor for the week. We look forward to returning next summer! Oh and I almost forgot to mention the pool. I believe we were in it more than our beds. We loved the place and wish we could have stayed longer than a week.

Enjoyed our stay.

Our whole family enjoyed the stay. This was a great location for kayaking and fishing. The Kayaks were furnished which was a great Suprise as we thought we would have to rent some. They also had fishing poles to use. The pool and hot tub was great. Our family had not taken a family vacation in 8 years so it was nice. The house had plenty of room for 8 of us

Great accomodations for my daughters wedding

The host/property manager, Summer, was awesome & terrific; we could not ask for better. I had some friends,& their family, & some of my family stay for my daughters wedding. The house for our group was great. (We've stayed other places as a group, i.e. for the Daytona 500) Being a corner lot on the canal was very attractive. We got to watch a Manatee one morning! The neighborhood is very nice, all friendly that we met. Easy ingress & egress. More than adequate parking. Coffee, &/or breakfast at the porch table was splendid! The only suggestions for improvement: Some instructions in the book for the fancy couch. At least 1 more large fry pan; cooking breakfast for a full house was a little difficult with the available fry pan. The shower curtain rods mounted are a bit high, allowing water out of the showers. Biggest disappointments: I was really hoping the first floor bedroom was available for more of my family. Vrbo advertises property sleeps 11 guests, I had no more than 10; was charged $150 additional guest fee. I made a mistake in June last year while making my reservation for 5 nights. I adjusted my reservation to 4 nights in January, after talking with Summer & realizing my error. The adjustment to my reservation was confirmed. No adjustment was made to my bill, therefore I paid for 5 nights while only having 4 nights available. I would stay here again, but I would be much more careful when placing my reservation.

Great Location, Great Home, Great Property Management.

We had a short two night stay at the home but the property manager Summer made us feel we where staying for weeks. She made the stay easy. The home was clean and everything was ready for us when our group arrived. Pool and spa were heated. (Which was a good thing as the temp dropped to 48 one of the nights). We cooked on the grill and spent of our time on the river in the 5 kayaks provided with the property. It’s a large house with tons of outdoor spaces to chill. The cover patio/porch is two levels which gave everyone plenty of room to chill when not in the pool or on the river. We would recommend this place for larger groups. We have rented several VRBO homes and never had such great hospitality as with property manager Summer. We plan to stay here again very soon.
