“This is a gem of the National Park Service, not so much for its rooms which are clean but basic, but for the incredibly lovely surroundings. The lake has a paved path around it, the sounds of birds fill your ears as soon as you open your patio or balcony door, and the lovely vistas of lake, trees, and mountains are so totally calming and relaxing. It’s about 12 miles from Bedford, VA and the amazing National D-Day Museum, on an easy but winding road in the Blue Ridge Mts. ”

“Absolutely perfect stay. Everything is exactly as pictured. The bed is so comfortable, the shower and tub are divine. The creek is cool and refreshing. Bring firewood and charcoal, paper plates if you don't want a lot of dishes. Bring a good book and enjoy the view from the front porch. Lay under the stars. Relax. “Loved the location, privacy, and quiet surroundings. Everything was great, and the water was just like any other Sulphur water. It has a smell, but it works! Plus, there was a full bottle of water in the water cooler when we arrived. We enjoyed sitting down by the water and watching the ducks float by. We communicated both with Evolve, and with the local contact, and everyone was helpful and quick to reply. Would not hesitate to stay again!”
