“An absolutely charming place. It is a very cozy house and the treatment is very familiar. The room we had really spacious and perfectly decorated, which highlights the large vintage collection of iron plates and other antiques. The owner very friendly and fun, with an excellent service of homemade breakfast. Maximum cleaning in the room. Comfortable bed. Excellent wifi. I do not think there's a better place in Caribou. “Great location. Plenty of parking. Check in time of 4pm is a little late, and check out time of 10am is a little too early. The front desk attendants were very pleasant and welcoming, although not always available at the desk (didn't bother us though). The room was spacious and very clean. There is a clean fridge with small freezer and clean microwave that was nice to use. They seem to have done their updates in a smart way: the bathroom fixtures were an outdated color but clean and in perfect...

“It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter.
