This property is an oasis in the middle of Columbo. It was serene in ambience and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend for those who appreciate art and a well decorated venue.

Absolutely wonderful

One of the most extraordinary homes I have stayed in. owned by an amazing artist who designed both the structure and the interior. Located right on the lake it is a beautiful spot full of wildlife.

Amazing hotel

Amazing stay on our first night in Sri Lanka. We arrived early and room was ready 2 hours earlier than the expected time of 2 hours. A great place to chill out, we had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and the food was excellent. Kind helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for us

Great staff and lovely design to the hotel but sadly there was a lot of build work and the hotel is in a bit of a rough area. Also, would not advise having dinner at the hotel as this is very expensive for small portions. Can not fault the staff though who were excellent.

I fell in love as soon as I booked it but when I actually checked in I was thrown back!! This house is a true gem, walking in through the gate you don’t see the house right away so I was second guessing my choice. It’s a hidden gem and a true paradise. I was so impressed from the design to the staff to the service just overall amazing. Highly recommend it. they also own the restaurant before you enter the gate which has more food options so dining there was also great. Breakfast was wow!! Trust me 5 star indeed!!

On first arriving outside the property don’t panic as through the gate you enter a different world; a peaceful piece of electric & ethnic designer heaven with the property slightly elevated from the surrounding lake with greenery & nature all around. The service provided is excellent & always with a smile. One small criticism is there are some minor maintenance jobs that are outstanding & could do with attending to in order to secure a 5* review when comparing to other small luxury hotels of that standard. But having said that we will return to the property & would thoroughly recommend it. The photographs shown on the various websites give a good impression of the property. However the true experience excels. Tuk tuks are a plenty for nearby local transport.

Just a one night stay

Amazingly decorated place - love it all. Huge home that has been converted to a small hotel. In a very quiet area. Great recommendations for food places - thanks. Staff are very relaxed and quite chilled. Room was adequate - comfy bed . Far too hot with mossie net lowered - even with fan and aircon on the room is quite warm making for restless sleep. Also organised a tour of the city for us.

Lieu paradisiaque au cœur de colombo

Endroit totalement magique en plein cœur de Colombo, vue sur le lac, maison d’une femme indienne créatrice de mode et décoratrice. L établissement est tenu par sa fille et son gendre, jeune couple d une trentaine d’annee adorable qui se plient en 4 pour faire de votre séjour un moment inoubliable N hésitez pas à les contacter, même si toutes les chambres semblent occupées, ils garde 2 chambres hors norme à la location.... Merci à eux pour leur gentillesse et la qualité de la prestatio

We stayed at the aathma at the beginning and end of our trip, the king suite with balcony first and the deluxe suite in the main building last, both rooms are of a very high standard and we throughly enjoyed our stay. Tolles Boutiquehotel in ruhiger Lage

Sehr schönes detailverliebtes Hotel. In der Nähe ist ein toller Park mit See und großem Spielplatz. Restaurant sehr gut. In die "Innenstadt" ist es ca. 25 Minuten mit dem Taxi. Im Zimmer war das Bad leider sehr ungünstig gebaut, beim Duschen hat man fast alles unter Wasser gesetzt. Personal sehr freundlich, teilweise jedoch etwas übereifrig, wenn alle zwei Minuten gefragt wird, was vom Tisch abgeräumt werden kann obwohl offensichtlich noch alles benutzt wird.
