Great location. Right on the beach! We usually stay in the pencil houses on St George, but this was also great! Thank you!

Great house

The house was perfect. Had everything we needed. Steps from beach and deck was so nice to view ocean while having coffee. Will stay again. Everything went great.

Short Break

Island Pearl was just as described as more. Truly steps from the beach. We could just walk out ,enjoy the beach sunsets and dolphin watch. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect getaway!

We booked this property for a few days in March because we were working nearby in South Georgia. What a treat! The owner, managing agency and staff were so nice and communicated well. The house was right on the beach and very quiet neighborhood. House was immaculately clean and well kept. We enjoyed our stay so much and would rent this place again.

The kitchen could use a few more unbreakable kid friendly dishes but had a good supply of pots for steaming shrimp. A handrail would have been helpful for entry steps. The outside shower was great! The decor was updated and the game supply more than adequate!

It was nice We had a very good time The smoke detector battery went dead And started going off this morning about 5 am I set it on the kitchen table For some reason this happens to use all the time when we travel !! Crazy

Retirement travels

A few steps and you are on the beach! Go to bed listening to the waves and wake up every morning to that ocean view. Lovely little home it is just a short drive to restaurants and bars. The island is incredible! My only suggestion would be to invest in better bed linens. We will definitely return to the beautiful Island Pearl.

The property location is great! The house layout is great. The furniture is great. Beachfront!! 2 issues that need to be addressed for the amount of rent charged. #1 The rugs are dirty and desperately need to be replaced. It is on the beach and shoukd be replaced annually! YUCK. #2 The deck furniture is plastic and all cracked/broken. Only 2 chairs useable. Again, for the rent charged these items should be fixed.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Third time in a year staying at Sea Duce. We love the proximity to the water. Unfortunately the property is not well cared for. We take sheets to cover the well-worn furniture. The dishwasher was falling out of the cabinet, the smoke alarm went off every time we cooked, and we didn’t have internet all week. Wish the owners would attend to these issues. We will still come back.

Outstanding location

Two outstanding things about the stay were the location and the communication with the property manager. Being ON the beach with an unobstructed view is a location that cannot be rivaled. Even in December with cool/cold nights, during the day, it was a sunny 72 degrees and perfect for being out on the balcony listening to the surf. Overall, the house itself is comfortable--not as many upscale finishes as you might expect--but it is, after all, a rental property. There were a couple of things that some might not view as minor (a dead roach or two though the house was otherwise clean, a bottom window panel was removed/missing, leaving the living room open to the outside) but these may just be a temporary maintenance issue. We didn't contact the property manager about these things as they were not deal-breakers. We did contact the managers a couple of times to extend our stay and they were very responsive and quick to take care of us.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The best thing about this house is it's super close proximity to the beach, so love that! The house is not in the best shape, but we had read previous reviews so we had an idea. They have repaired the deck, replaced deck furniture, and there's great cookware/utensils available to prepare meals in the kitchen ... so reviews are being read and addressed. They don't have an on-site washer/dryer and only left 6 sets of towels. We had 5 people so that wasn't ideal. Our family just wants to be on the beach as much as possible, so we can make do with most situations. My husband is a painter, so if pwmer/mgmt would like to swap service with a stay, let us know! New inside paint would freshen the place up! ;)

Always come once or twice a year. Great location!!! Only wish you had a keurig coffee maker!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Suncoast is a great agency to work with. They do a super job. St George is our favorite Fl beach spot. Island Pearl overall is a nice place, with a great kitchen and living area. Bathrooms are small but functional. There is no railing on the steps from the garage to the entry - this is dangerous, especially when you are unloading and vice versa. The coffee maker malfunctioned 3 times and the deck furniture is in need of replacing. Two chairs were unusable.

The improvements made were such a wonderful surprise! Upon arrival the house was spotless and had everything we could hope for. Love love the outdoor shower! And the kitchen! And the overall look and convenience. Even though it was just me and my husband there is plenty of room for 8 guests. We are thinking of bringing our three kids next year and their girlfriend and boyfriends. Check in was a breeze. We had a perfect week! Thank you to the owner who has made this a little slice of heaven for me and my husband.
