  • This custom built 2 bedroom (plus sleeping loft), 2 bath cedar home has recently been updated and is waiting for you. It is the perfect setting to relax, unwind, and rest your soul. If it's outdoor adventure you're seeking, this property is the perfect location for exploring the area or use it as a home-base for Upper Peninsula sight-seeing day-trips. It is conveniently located 10 miles west of St. Ignace. Downtown St. Ignace boasts many great restaurants, grocery store, museums, state parks and daily ferry service to Mackinac Island. Be sure to visit Castle Rock for breath-taking views of the Straits of Mackinac. Available year-round with nearby snowmobile trail access. The property has a over-sized two stall garage to keep your sleds or other outdoor adventure gear.

U.P family destination

We had a lovely time at this house. Really enjoyed the beach for the kids! We all had plenty of space for sleeping and the location is awesome. We appreciated the wide array of fans in the closets to help keep it cool.

We had a wonderful time. The house was clean, beautiful and we had most eveeything we needed. (No griddle to make pancake or french toast) We will definitely stay there again sometime!

It was ok inside. The beds were comfortable. A lot of the applicances were broken like grill and waffle maker. The outside definitely needs some TLC. But does have a pretty lake view!

Wonderful long weekend family trip. The guys did some fishing and us ladies and kids did some shopping in town. We all visited the Deer Ranch twice. The house was just as listed. It was clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable. Chad was great to work with.

Private and nearly perfect

We enjoyed the privacy and the beautiful sandy beach. The house was in good shape and was decently equipped. A few small improvements and this rental would be absolutely perfect.

We enjoyed our stay. However, the place could use some TLC. The deck was really in need of cleaning and staining. The beds need to be replaced. Very uncomfortable and bedding very old. With some upgrades, it would be a great place to stay.

Beautiful

It was located on Lake Michigan, at a perfect spot along the beach. Easy drive to the town of Saint Ignace for anything my family needed during our 6 night stay. It was clean and well stocked. The master bedroom had the most comfortable bed. Like a gigantic pillow. Best sleep I have ever had while on vacation. The TV had its own ideas of not working (I think it was trees obscuring the satellite) but we watched a movie that was in the cabinet and played games we brought with us. Overall, a very nice time.

Great location, wonderful views from the home, awesome beach, quiet and private during our stay.

We have been renting various homes for our annual vacation to the Great Lakes for several years now. We always look for a home that will be private and quiet, but is close enough to things to do that it isn't a hassle getting to them. This home fit the bill perfectly. 10 minutes from St Ignace/Mackinaw City. The home has great views of the lake, is comfortable and reasonably stocked with daily items you might need. The beach is awesome, hands down the best beach we have ever rented a home on in the UP. The location of the home was private and quiet while we were there. The owners were easy to reach and communicate with.

Not accurate details in listing

The property can be great but sorely let go. The pictures on the listing are not current. There are broken doors, mold and deteriorating walls in bathrooms and overall a dirty home. We could not give the kids a bath in either tub and fought ants the whole week through the entire house. It would have been helpful to have a bug repellent device outside on the deck to spend any time there but there wasn’t any furniture on it anyway. The gas grill is unusable. We bought paper plates and cups as the dishwasher leaves a thick film on the kitchenware.
