  • Just seconds from Porthmeor Beach, 4 Porthmeor Court is a comfortable cottage tucked away in the heart of Downalong. With the added bonus of on-site parking, it makes coming and going easy, especially during busy seasons. You are also just a short stroll from St Ives Town Centre, where you can explore a great mix of galleries, cafes, restaurants, and independent shops, all set within the charm of this popular coastal town.

    Set over three floors, the cottage combines a traditional look with modern comforts, giving you a relaxed and welcoming place to stay. The granite detailing and cottage style touches create a cosy feel throughout, while still offering plenty of space for families or friends. Outside, there is a private courtyard with a bench, a lovely spot to start the day with a coffee or to unwind in the evening after time spent by the sea.

    On the ground floor, the modern style kitchen and dining area forms the heart of the home, designed for easy, sociable living. It is fully equipped with everything you need, including an oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washer dryer, microwave, and fridge freezer. There are also a couple of comfortable chairs and a TV, making it a great place to relax together after a day out. A convenient walk-in shower room is also located on this floor, ideal for rinsing off sandy toes after the beach. Upstairs on the first floor, you will find a snug and inviting living room with a corner sofa, soft furnishings, and a TV, along with a twin bedroom and a separate WC.

    The second floor offers two bright and airy bedrooms, providing flexible sleeping arrangements. One room can be set up as either twin beds or a king size, making it ideal for different group needs, while the other offers a quiet space to relax and unwind. A family bathroom with a bath and shower over is also on this level, along with an additional WC. With extra WCs on both the first and second floors, the layout works well for families, ensuring comfort and convenience throughout your stay.

Great Stay

This was a last minute booking as the property I'd booked fell through.The property is not the prettiest from the outside, could do with a tidy up (jet wash?) in the shared courtyard. But location is fabulous! We were able to walk from beach in wet suits and beaches, town, harbour is all right there.House itself was great, 3 floors with toilrts/bathrooms on each floor which was reslly handy with a gull house. House is nicely done up with everything you need. We loved the pictures apart from top Kingsize/twin room was a bit dark. Double room was really pretty.Kitchen had everything, we had to move crockery/pots around to make space for our food as no free cupboard for this. Minor, minor things though, overall we had a fantastic stay and would stay again. Walk in reinforced shower and tub/hangers for wetsuits was really handy. Washer/dryer worked well. A note about how to use heatingvwould have saved going through all the booklets.Thanks for a great stay, St. Ives we love you

Perfect location on The Island.

Great location a short stroll from the beach and into the harbour front. Narrow streets so best to leave car in car port. Clean and tidy with all the utilities you need. Lounge would be on the small side if six people were staying but was perfect for the four of us. It was nice to have two showers. Communication with management company was great and access via key box was seamless.
