Cactus Flower Cottage - a Charming Quiet Retreat with Ocean View

  • Cactus Flower Cottage is a charming 1-bedroom cottage nestled in Fish Bay, one of St. John's quietest neighborhood. Built amoungst 200 year old ruins still visable on property. Enjoy fresh papaya, coconut and other fruit from trees throughout the gardens when in season. A 10-minute ride from Cruz Bay on paved roads. The cottage includes a full kitchen, covered deck, outside private native stone shower, established landscaping, air-conditioning in the bedroom, cable TV, high-speed internet, solar hot water, water view of Fish Bay and the Caribbean Sea. Guests at the cottage have full use of the pool, which is adjacent to the main house. North Shore Beach access is a 5-10 minute drive. South Shore Beaches, historic ruin sites and National Park Trails are walking distance. Vehicle rental is strongly recommended. Taxi service is also easy.

Truly an amazing cottage in paradise

I'm so glad I found this gem on Vrbo. My boyfriend and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The cottage was clean, comfortable and perfectly located. We truly felt like we were in paradise! The hosts where so kind and accommodating. We can't wait to come back!

A hidden gem.

Great cottage for a couple with access to a refreshing pool and nice hot tub for starry nights. Easy access with paved roads and a quiet neighborhood made it a relaxing stay. Quick drive to the beaches, restaurants, and groceries.

St John’s adventure

Tina was very helpful and communicative. Cactus Flower was a wonderful place for us as we explored the island. She had beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel gear and even a cooler we could use during our stay. Our last day we enjoyed the lovely pool and hot tub as well. The air conditioning in the bedroom was very nice and allowed for restful sleep after full days of hiking and swimming. Thank you for opening up your bungalow to us!

Perfection

Better than the photos. Absolutely spectacular stay in the best location possible on the island. We loved every minute of our trip. The cottage was spectacular and Joe and Tina were amazing hosts. 10/10 experience!

Great villa with an awesome stone outdoor shower

Cactus Flower was a wonderful 1 bedroom villa with a wonderful Stone Outdoor shower. Joe and Tina were wonderful Hosts with decades of local knowledge. Fish bay is so close to everything. I would highly recommend this 1 bedroom villa

Wonderful villa for two!

My wife and I stayed in the cactus flower cottage for our honeymoon. Tina and Joe did a wonderful job as hosts; providing directions and recommending different places to visit. I would highly recommend this villa if you are looking for a place to unwind.

We had the most wonderful time on island and the stay at this cottage was perfect. Excellent location. Easy drive from Cruz Bay. No rough roads or crazy parking! Cottage had everything we needed and the AC in the bedroom was fantastic! We highly recommend!

Beyond delightful

We could not have enjoyed our stay any more! Cactus Flower far exceeded our expectations and was simply stunning. There really aren’t enough praises for the hosts and property. We look forward to staying here again.

Loved our stay at Cactus Flower Cottage!Great interaction with the owners,and especially loved the snuggles with their kitties and pup!Spent lots of time on the beautiful covered deck and it was very relaxing!Beautiful and peaceful! definitely understand it is an open air cottage, it was a blessing to have air conditioning in the bedroom as the rest of the cottage can be pretty warm when the high! Nonetheless, we would definitely return again and very much, enjoyed it!

Wonderful place to stay on St. John!

We loved staying at Cactus Flower! It’s in a great location tucked in the hills just a few minutes away from Cruz Bay, and easy access to the North Shore beaches. The cottage is charming, peaceful and comfy—the hosts have provided everything you could need. Highly recommend!
