Was perfect for my needs. Friends were nearby for meals etc. Hosts were great and helpful. Things renters should know...road in is badly rutted, TOO steep to use driveway. No real kitchen. After a day I found countertop unit, After another day I figured out how to use it. Worked fine. Pool is small but never got around to using it anyway. I should be returning next year.

We loved our 4 day stay at the orange cottage. The grounds are gorgeous and lush. The infinity pools and lounging areas are incredible. Lorraine was a generous, lovely host. The views and proximity to restuarants, even the floating taco stand(Lime Out) are ideal. The cottages are on a hillside, so able bodied dwellers are recommended to ascend the driveway and walk to nearby restuarants.The cottage itself was cute and clean. Bed super comfy. Included thoughtful personal touches, beach chairs, a cooler, even a playlist of Caribbean favorites to enjoy. Neighborhood was delightfully quiet. Communication was great throughout. It was a lovely getaway for us. We hope to return and stay again. Many thanks.

Beautiful Coral Bay Cottage

This was a great property on the quiet side of the island, and it is close to all the best beaches. It is very clean and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Hannah and Lorraine know everything there is to know about St. John and are so incredibly helpful and responsive! The guide they emailed before the trip helped me plan which beaches and restaurants I wanted to visit, but I also got input from Lorraine once I got to the island. I will say that if you want to be close to restaurants, this may not be the place for you, but we didn’t mind driving the 25 minutes to Cruz Bay for dinner. I also want to mention that the driveway is very steep. They have steps to climb up, but it isn’t for anyone that has any mobility problems. Overall this is a great cottage looking over Coral Bay, and I would love to visit again!

Delightful

My daughter and I had a great time exploring St. John and we definitely were glad to stay on the quieter side of the island. “Garden of Eden” was a great location for us, we could easily walk to Skinny Legs for dinner and a little further walk were other restaurants and coffee place. Also, the nearby market, the Dolphin was very well stocked. The cottage was super cute and very efficient and we felt very spoiled with the AC. Pool was great place to relax after snorkeling or hiking (recommend Reef Bay Trail and Rams Head). Any questions were answered quickly by Lorraine. Thank you Lorraine and Hannah for a wonderful stay.

Great stay in Coral Bay

We wanted to stay out in Coral Bay, out of the bustle of Cruz Bay. The Garden of Eden property was perfect. It gave us a place to launch into snorkeling at Haulover by ourselves or a day at Waterlemon. We were contacted by the property managers early and while during our 6 night stay Lorraine stayed in contact. The place was so clean. You need a 4 wheel drive car to get there. Skinny Legs is 5 minutes away. We did do the “major” beaches of Maho, Cinnamon and Trunk but on our schedule. Being in Coral, made Salt Pobd for snorkeling snd hiking Rams Head which is incredible very doable. The property provided great Bach chairs, snorkeling masks and snorkels ( we never wanted fins) and a cooler. We used these each day and they were in great shape. They provided beach towels, and pool towels which were in pristine shape. We enjoyed the pool, and the daily visits of the goats, donkeys, and deer. We did eat breakfast in each day, and made dinner one night. The kitchen while small was well equipped. We used the water containers they provided each day. It’s a great property for an adventurous couple who enjoys the road less travelled.

Amazing stay

We absolutely loved our stay at the garden of Eden cottage. The property is absolutely stunning and the location was perfect for us and exploring the coral bay side of the island. The cottage was bigger than I was expecting and had absolutely everything we needed for our time on St. John including beach chairs and a cooler. The balcony and pool were great way to start and end our days and made for a romantic and quiet vacation

“Island Time” safely relax & chill out

This was our 3rd vaca to st John in past 20 years. At retirement age, the quiet side, Coral bay suites us best. The cottage was great, clean safe, fully AC’d w/ TV’s & internet that worked, all just as stated in description. Host friendly, helpful & Available with beautiful 2 level Infinity pool we had to ourselves, loved the flowers, grounds & hope to return.

Wonderful Cottage off The Beaten Path

We stayed here in December for 6 nights with our pup Lucy. The property owner, Lorraine, made us feel right at home with a greeting at the driveway when we pulled up. She is a kind, genuine person who takes great pride in her beautiful, lush gardens that she has painstakingly planted and maintained over the years. Her caretaker, Bobby is also very kind and has the patience of a saint. We had a little “oops” with the driveway gate and Bobby took care of it without complaint and without making us feel badly about it. The plunge pool is so clean and refreshing after a hot day on the beach. We really enjoyed lounging here for a few hours a couple of the days we were there.The cottage is adorable with a very comfy bed and deck overlooking the beautiful bay. We walked to Skinny Legs one evening and we there is a little breakfast place right around the corner that is also just a 5 minute walk.Thank you Hannah, Lorraine and Bobby!

Do not rent the car offered through the VRBO

A terrible experience with the partner of Ms. Jones. In brief, as of today I have not receive my refundable deposit for the rental of the car. Ms. Jones works with May De Leon so you get the combo of rental property and car which seems very convenient when planning vacation. They do not tell you that you may be scam and they will keep your deposit alleging that the car has sand or that you were x short on gas. You signed a contract with many clauses, one of them is that upon returning the car you will get your money back but that did not happened to me. they asked you to pay via paypal for the car. When you arrive at the island, they left the car in a public parking lot with the key inside, no one is there to inspect the car with you. Then 2 days before returning the car 2 light warnings came out regarding the engine and the pressure in the tires. I sent a text to both women and May De Leon stated you can drive as long as the car does not get over heated. I am driving the car with my 9 year old son. I replied, I can returned or exchanged the car and there was no response. The day I left, I was asked again to leave the car in a public parking lot with the key inside. I filled out the tank ,clean the sand as much as I could because I do not have a portable vacuum cleaner. After 2 days of not getting my refund i got a text of this woman saying that they are keeping my money. Car business is not registered. Corroborated by local consumer affairs. Be aware.

Perfect little quiet cottage

We loved the cottage. It was the perfect base from which to explore the St John beaches away from busy Cruz Bay. The cottage had everything we needed and was immaculate. The pool was a delight after a hot day at the beach. We highly recommend!

Great Stay in Coral Bay

Our stay was perfect. Loved staying in Coral Bay and exploring from there. House was clean and all we needed. Pool area was nice and our own deck fit the bill. Bedding was comfortable, house was very clean, and ac worked fine.

Great secluded stay

We loved this property! The property manager was great with communicated the whole time. Especially helping us find the property which was on a side street with a really steep hill (VI driving is thrilling). The actual property has an amazing pool with a view and huge shower. Which was great for cooling off in the hot climate. Also, this place was out of the way - as in there wasn't much to do within walking distance and it is on the "quieter" side of the island. However, we loved that as we could enjoy the birds and frogs singing! It was a great relaxing place for a tropical getaway.

Wonderful and welcoming stay

My friend and I came to the USVI to work with our rescue partners at the Humane Society of St Thomas. I have stayed in many places in the past but this location is my favorite. Lorraine, Hannah, Bob and Kaimani (sweetest pup) are such lovely and gracious hosts❤️ The location is gorgeous and private but still close to wonderful beaches, trails, shops and restaurants. Definitely go visits the beautiful rescue donkeys at the Carolina Corral sanctuary right down the road!! I am an ocean fanatic but the salt water pool on the property is perfect for a quick dip when it’s hot also!! Highly recommend and will be back very soon!! You come there as strangers and leave as friends!! Mahola 🌺

Amazing!

Relaxing stay away from it all! The cottage was spotless and well appointed (snorkels, beach towels, chairs, drink cups, coffeemaker and fridge). The AC in the bedroom was perfect and the king bed very comfortable. Drinking coffee on the balcony watching the donkeys, iguanas, and chickens made for a great morning. You can see Lime Out from the kitchen and walk to Rhumb Lines (Skinnylegs was temporarily closed). Lorraine was a wonderful host and made great beach recommendations. It’s a little trek over to Coral Bay but we’re so glad we stayed on this side of the island and at this place!

Great Rental In Coral Bay

My wife and I spent four nights at the Garden of Eden. We choose Coral Bay to be away from the masses on the other side of the island. The cottage is small, but clean, updated, and had everything we needed. The kitchen is small, but it worked fine for breakfast and a few dinners. Access to nearby restaurants is a 5-7 minute walk or a very short drive depending on the particular restaurant. Coral Bay is pretty, but is not the super crystal clear turquoise blue of other areas on the island and does not have a beach. That being said, the view from the deck is still very nice. We used the pool almost everyday for a short period of time. It has small pools with two infinity edges. It is very nice with lots of lounge chairs and a small end table for drinks. From the deck of the pool, there is a view of another bay in the distance. Although it was never cold when we used the pool, the sun was gone by about 5:00pm. (This is probably vary by the time of year) We enjoyed being away from the crowd of Cruz Bay. Access to the most popular beaches like Trunk Bay and Cinnamon Bay is easy and only about 20 minutes away. (Keep in mind driving on St John is slow. It can take 20 minutes to go 3 miles) Our cottage has a nice fan and A/C, which we rarely used. The breeze from open windows worked great to keep the place cool. If you want to get away from the crowds and stay in the beautiful Coral Bay area, I highly recommend checking this place out.
