This was a perfect spot for two families with older elementary aged kids! Gorgeous views, and the pool was the perfect way to spend our afternoons after the beach. I didn’t quite understand the layout when we booked – the bedrooms don’t connect at all on the interior so if you’re planning to sleep separately from kids, just know that. I probably wouldn’t have been comfortable with kids much younger than mine. The hosts were lovely to work with and local to the island. As others have said, it feels like a ton of privacy, but is still super close to town and easy to get to beaches. We will definitely be back!

There was a little bit of miscommunication with our greeter but quickly resolved. The house is lovely. The outdoor showers are incredible and the views are magnificent. We loved hanging out on the large porches for morning coffee and gorgeous sunsets

What a lovely pair of homes, perfect for our extended family gathering. Being less than a mile from the heart of Cruz Day made outings easy. Hosts were wonderfully communicative. Bonus: air conditioning in the bedrooms made for comfortable sleep.

We enjoyed our stay at water cliff Villa! The view is spectacular, we enjoyed jumping in the pool after beach days and being able to play cards with family on the deck. Air conditioners were only in the bedrooms, which is common in St. John and we absolutely love the outdoor showers. I would suggest bringing off if mosquitoes like you!

Family time paradise

We loved our stay! It was the perfect spot for our family to play, relax, rest, cook and enjoy beautiful St. John's. We loved the pool, outdoor showers, beautiful balconies with amazing views, comfortable suites and very nice kitchen and choices of places to dine. We felt like there was no one around for miles except iguanas, goats, lizards and the neighborhood cat. We really had a special time!

Perfect Family Getaway

Our family of 5 had an incredible stay at Water Cliff! The house was spotless upon arrival—immaculately clean, well-stocked, and clearly cared for with attention to detail. The views from the decks were absolutely breathtaking and every room had a perfect ocean view. We had our meals on the deck and watched the boats, sunsets, and enjoyed some evening visits from the local goat family that came to graze down the hill from us.The hosts were fantastic—extremely responsive and helpful throughout our entire stay. From answering questions before we arrived to checking in during the trip to make sure we had everything we needed, their hospitality made the experience even better. The island had a brief power outage (2 hours) one night and the hosts were accessible and helped us navigate the situation. While there is no generator at this house, there are plenty of flashlights! This home is everything you want in a Caribbean escape: peaceful, scenic, and impeccably maintained. The location was perfect for us as it is easily accessible to Cruz Bay for groceries, restaurants, and shopping, but also far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful island. We would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of St. John in comfort and style!

First visit to St. John

had a great stay at Water Cliff Villa. spacious with beautiful cliffside views from pool and deck made coming back to the place each day for sunset views a must. The host staff was 10 out of 10 in timely response, addressing questions or concerns and helping with restaurant suggestions and reservations or simply helping us navigate our first time to the island.

Girls Trip

Loads of outdoor space to enjoy the breathtaking views. Found everything we needed in kitchen for snacks, etc., though we ate out most meals. Provided beach chairs, towels and coolers were all appreciated for daily trips to the beaches. Enjoyed the uniqueness of outdoor showers and A/C in the bedrooms.

Beautiful place

Maintenance and owner were very responsive to our questions and concerns. Note that while the bedrooms have nice AC, the main living area (with kitchen/living/dining) does not. That area relies on ceiling fans and its large windows/screen doors for a nice cross breeze, but dinner prep was still a sweaty event in our early-July visit. Amenities were great - plenty of cookware options, and gas grill. Views were awesome, and the property is gorgeous.

Perfect Summer Get Away

Just got back from 9 nights at Water Cliff Villa where we had an amazing time. The house was a perfect setup for our family. The views of the ocean first thing in the morning and last thing at night were spectacular. We all loved going to sleep with the sound of the ocean. Dave and Julie were so easy to get a hold of when we had questions and were very hospitable. We are all already missing those outdoor showers!

Restful week

We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space for all of to have some alone time. The covered decks with a view of the ocean were our favorite spots. The pool, although smallish, was wonderful for cooling off and just relaxing in peace. I found the beds a bit soft, but then I like a very firm mattress- so not anything against the house, just a heads up for anyone who needs a firm mattresses. The house was very easy to get to from town and a short trip down the hill to the grocery store. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. A great week and would definitely return.

Perfect Accommodations!

Water Cliff was perfect for our group of 8 adults. The house was well maintained and well stocked with everything we needed. The location was IDEAL, being close to Cruz Bay, and not too far from the beaches. The property managers were excellent, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, and ensuring we knew who to contact if we needed anything. Each of the four bedrooms were well equipped, and had privacy. We will be back! Thank you for a fantastic week.

Wonderful stay in St. John

We very much enjoyed our stay at Water Cliff! The property is set up well to host multiple families or, as was our case, a family with adult children that want their own space, while making it easy and enjoyable to gather for coffee in the morning, a communal dinner cooked in the kitchen, or a late night game of Marco Polo in the pool. Views/sunsets are incredible with several decks for viewing, and the location was as close to town conveniences as we've ever been on St. John. 5 stars!!

This location was wonderful. We had a beautiful view seeing stingrays and turtles in the gorgeous water in front of the property. Beautiful accommodations! Would highly recommend!!

Better than five stars

We had three couples, one with two small children. (It's not really childproofed so some vigilance is required with little ones.) The layout was great for us: separate spaces for each plus a great room and decks large enough for us all to be together. Beautiful views and sea breezes, well appointed, close to Cruz Bay but far enough away to avoid the noise and bustle. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.
