'Villa Jarrow', frente a la playa, hermosa propiedad restaurada victoriana

Jarrow, una villa de piedra del coral del siglo XIX, está situada en la hermosa costa sur de Half Moon Bay, St. Lawrence. Su suave elevación le permite sentarse en la terraza y ver a los pescadores salir al mar temprano en la mañana, y volver con la captura del día - que puede tener recién preparado en la comodidad de su villa o barbacoa en el gran cubierta.
La villa de estilo de pan de jengibre cuenta con tres habitaciones dobles, dos baños grandes y amplios vestidores espejo.
Desde el vestíbulo, sala de estar y comedor y cocina bien equipada, se puede disfrutar de las espectaculares vistas del mar.
La playa única en su puerta. Está protegido por un arrecife que lo hace excelente para nadar en el día o por la noche. Puede que se unan con tortugas amigas!
Las claraboyas de los dormitorios y el salón le permiten ver la belleza de la luz de la luna y dar la bienvenida al sol de la mañana.
Las brisas del sureste del mar Caribe continuamente flotan a través de la villa, manteniéndolo fresco y fresco.
Hay natación ideal y condiciones de buceo para los niños como la marea es siempre bajo en la bahía.
Estamos a 15 minutos en coche del aeropuerto, ya poca distancia a pie de los principales restaurantes, discotecas, supermercados, tiendas y campo de golf.

Host was friendly. His response was immediate. We had some minor issues which were resolved. We loved the space. It was beautiful and close to everything. Loved having access to the kitchen. Loved the AC in the bedrooms.

Timothy was very welcoming. The synopsis of the vrbo was a bit inaccurate. No private parking as stated. No hot tub as stated. The music was so loud but I guess we were warned about that. Being right on the water was certainly a plus. The living area was a bit small for the six of us but overall Tim’s place was an okay vrbo.

I am always looking for a place to stay that exudes the history of it’s location and Villa Jarrow is exactly that! It’s total restoration is beautiful, it’s right on the water and it’s location is wonderful as far as doing and seeing a lot of fun things connected with the ambience of Barbados.Our host Tim was fun, very responsive prior to our arrival and to his credit this gem of a property was properly restored.

Barbados property

The pros: the place is right on the bay and if you’d like the nightlife of live music and partying it’s right down the street from you. Cons: if you don’t want to party, the nightlife is just down the street from you. We had fun a couple nights, but we also wanted to sleep a couple nights and on Friday Saturday night. It is noisy and loud till 3 AM. Overall a great stay for first time in Barbados. Owner is super gracious and nice. If your looking for more upscale I would avoid st Lawrence gap area. It’s a little more seedy but a lot of fun. The west coast is more upscale and nice for families. Also a lot more expensive so you will have to decide for your trip.

Great host and location

Our young adult children really wanted to be in a location close to the night life and restaurants. This was it! Enjoyed having our own bathrooms and bedrooms with great air conditioning. Entire place could have used a deep cleaning. There was grime on baseboards, bathrooms and kitchen appliances. We loved the deck and house overall.

Fabulous for friends trip

We loved everything about this spot. The listing is accurate, although the pictures don't really do it justice. You will spend all your time on the back deck just enjoying the view or going out for a lovely swim. Host provides plenty of towels and the bathrooms have toiletry dispensers. If you plan to cook, fresh fish can be picked up within a stone’s throw from the house and the kitchen has all the equipment you need (but no pantry items other than salt and pepper – however there is a grocery store in walking distance). The location is also super convenient – so easy to walk to the Gap or adjoining beaches or hop on the Z bus to head to Oistens. There is no need for a car although you can have one here if you’d like. It can be a little noisy at night so that could be a problem for a light sleeper, but a couple of sets of earplugs was all that was needed for our group! Timothy was a responsive host and an all around great guy. We will definitely look to stay here again!

Awesome Location

We stayed at Villa Jarrow for 28 days, the location of this property is second to none. The views from sunrise to sunset are breathtaking. Very close to the Gap restaurants and nightlife as well as grocery shopping and multiple beaches. With direct access to the calm waters of the bay protected by a reef we found no need to travel far. Our host provided exceptional attention we will definitely be returning. It was the best location we have ever stayed at near the gap. Highly recommend.

Charming restored historic home on the ocean

This is a charming, clean comfortable home located at the entrance to St. Lawrence Gap. Although the front of the home is located on a busy street as soon as you enter and close the gate the view is stunning and the home is your own little oasis. And who can resist being able to walk down a small flight of stairs to dive into the ocean and snorkel, swim with turtles or just float. There are great beaches within walking distance as well. In fact mostly everything is in walking distance - dining, shopping etc. Everything you need is in the house and the back porch overlooking the ocean is where you will spend most of your time whether in the sun or shade. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with a welcoming host and housekeeper and a view and water access hard to pass up. It’s also a central location from which to explore the island further if you have a car and only 15 minutes from the airport. It can get noisy later in the evening with music, but we got use to it quickly and it did not detract from the overall experience. Well worth a stay.

Perfect introduction to Barbados

Lovely traditional beachfront house with gorgeous views, fully equipped kitchen, and three air-conditioned bedrooms. You could walk out directly into the water from the porch an additional benefit, which was not expected is the proximity to a huge number of fine restaurants with all types of cuisine.. And importantly, a car was not a problem as there was a small parking place directly across the street from the house.

Location, location, location!!!! Being on the water like this was fantastic. I could have just camped on that deck. Loud music was not for one member of our family but it did not bother the others. Felt safe. Very responsive host and staff! Charming

If you want a beautiful view and access to water, this place is perfect. Air conditioned bedrooms and living space cooled bybfansxand breezes. Near excellent restaurants and clubs. With the clubs come loud music So you do not have to pay to listen Host went out of his way to greet and repair Thanks

Property is great! Walking distance to several bars and restaurants, beaches, and souvenir shops. Timothy is great to work with and meets you at the house to make sure you know where everything is. House was as advertised.

We spent 7 days in Barbados and had an amazing time. But I have to say that being in Villa Jarrow was the best part of it all. Its beautiful deck/patio was the highlight of our stay, The Villa is located on the beach, we just had to get down a few stairs from our deck and we were swimming in the best beach in Barbados, We didnt have to take our bags or hire sun loungers. We could just swim any time of the day/evening and come back to our deck and lie on the loungers. It was the best place to gaze at stars at night. All the best restaurant in Barbados are located near the Villa. Cafe Sol was the best and it is less than a minute walk from the Villa. Sandy beach is a couple of minutes walk away. Worthing food court is ten minutes walk away where you can sit in the open and buy/eat variety of food from various trucks. The Villa owner was very hospitable and easy contactable when we had a question to ask. He welcomed us with the best rum punch in Barbados. We had plenty of towels and beach towels. The rooms are clean and have AC. The lounge and kitchen/dining area were well equipped and so fresh with the breeze from the sea day and night.

Super Two weeks

Definitely a great two weeks we had. The weather was spot on, must say the air conditioning in the rooms is a great plus . It could not be easier to have a swim in the sea than it is here. You literally just take a few steps, on the beach, in the sea. With the reef to block any big tides and waves, you are safe to wonder into the sea and we got some great footage swimming with the sea turtles. Location is great for restaurants ( there are a few food courts around with a lot of different food stalls )and happy hour is regular available for that cocktail or beer specials. If needed you can take a reggae bus to Bridgetown, Oistins etc for 3.5 Bajan dollars per trip. Just be warned it could get packed in the minibus taxis, but it was all good fun. And then a supermention to MC Turtleman, super Mike. Anything we wanted or needed he was there to help us out. Fresh fish, even cooked us some. Mosquito candles, waterproof carrier for our phones you name it, he got. He even took us to the Oistin fish fry on Fridays, and got as a table cause it gets ver busy. But his main thing is to take you out on his boat, for some fishing and snorkelling at the boat wreckages at Bridgetown, my daughter was very excited when she caught her first fish , a tuna fish. And got it cleaned and had a great meal. So a great thank you to MC Turtleman, to me super Mike. Timothy the owner was superb and very accommodating and it was a great pleasure to meet him, our paths will hopefully cross sooner than later.
