We LOVED our stay at The River's Roost; the hosts have thought of everything! The beds were very comfortable...view, location and amenities - all excellent! We would definitely stay there again.

Just spent 5 days at the River's Roost on the Patuxent River. The house was excellent; open kitchen and living area with great views of the river, well-stocked kitchen, BBQ grill as well as a Blackstone. Everything was clean and in working condition. Comfortable bed with great views of the water. Huge shower in the bathroom. Hosts were very responsive and the check-in was simple. There also is a huge dock for crabbing and fishing.We were there during a fierce storm and aside from a few small branches coming down, the house had no ill effects from the wind gusts and heavy rains. The area is also very nice and relaxing.

A perfect getaway weekend the property had anything and everything you could need. Great neighborhood- peaceful & quiet. Christina & John responded quickly to our questions. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a very enjoyable time celebrating our bookclub's third anniversary! The house, location, and views were beautiful. In addition to the beds, we utilized both futons and they were also very comfortable.

A great Home for Vacation!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. The owner had put his heart and soul in this beautiful property. We had barbeque, fishing , crabbing , Kayaking, etc. It was a perfect family getaway.

Perfect for families

Stayed here with a large family group that included grandparents and infants. The trip was a huge success. Peaceful, yet loaded with fun activities for the kids. Would highly recommend!

Just what we needed

In town for a family event. The Rivers Roost was just what we needed, close enough to where we needed to go and still offered us the ability to relax while sitting next to the river. There were plenty of dinning options a short drive away. Communication while we were there was excellent. If ever in the area again we will definitely look to stay here again.

Fantastic location

I wish we had more time to spend at the house and I wish the weather would have been more cooperative. I would highly recommend this location. The owner’s were very quick to respond to any questions. Definitely would stay again.

Nardella Family

Our hosts John and Christina were easy to contact and were very helpful with any questions or concerns we had. The house was comfortable, very roomy and well appointed with games, kayaks, paddle boats, etc. we really enjoyed catching crabs off the dock. The scenery overlooking the River was great. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Lovely house on the water

Spent a weekend with kids and friends at the house. We all had a great time. it's a great location not far from the beaches on the bay and Solomons, and being on the waterfront made everything really special!

Loved Our Stay Here And Will Definitely Be Back

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful house! Inside was massive perfectly set up for our needs. Outside had stunning views and there is nothing better than being on the waters edge. The owners were easy to communicate with and they had everything ready in a timely manner for our check in. We didn’t get a chance to catch any crabs but we will definitely stay here again to try our hand at that.

Beautiful place, wonderful amenities!

Place is as described and shown in pictures. It will accommodate your group easily with lots of amenities to keep you busy. Host was helpful, communicated through out the stay, and had frosty mugs in the freezer ready for your fav beverage. A+ recommendation.

Quiet Weekend with Friends

I rented this house for a quiet weekend with a group of friends. The house was cute, clean, and overall perfect for the long weekend getaway. John responded to my questions in a timely manner and was very helpful. I recommend this house for anyone who wants a peaceful getaway! I will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful for a family get-away!

This was an excellent choice for our family--grandparents, kids and grandkids! The house was clean, beds were comfortable and we had tons of room to spread out! The kitchen was wonderful for preparing for and serving meals to our large group! We enjoyed using the provided kayaks (and life vests) and wish we would have more time to sit by the fire in the backyard. We would love to stay here again in the future!

Vacation

This property was lovely and very well stocked with all of the necessities! The bedrooms were nice with comfy beds the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking including for the crab boil! Catching the crabs and fishing off the dock was a big hit with the boys! The paddle boat and kayaks were fun and enjoyable! We will look them up on our next trip to the area! Perfect stay!!! Thanks!
