Awesome 2nd visit

Most gracious host of any place we've ever stayed, beautiful views, always love visiting St Mary's. No better place to stay. Definitely planning to come back

We travel a lot, I have to say this was the best VRBO we've stayed at so far. Best Host, Very homey feel, Amazing views, walk to everything in town. Could not have been better, highly recommended

Beautiful Relaxing peaceful hideaway

The accommodations were outstanding. The back deck was perfect for watching morning sunrises as well as enjoying the wonderful cool breezes coming in over the St Mary’s River and saltwater marsh. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

How lucky we were to find this wonderful place. Loved everything about the Captains Quarters inside and out, especially the beautiful sunrises over the marsh! Loved the slow pace of this unique little sleepy town. mThe home was special and the hospitality from the hosts made us feel like family.Equipped with everything, except the wine! But we were prepared and wined and dined on the deck almost every evening surrounded by such beautiful surroundings.Thanks for sharing this golden jewel. We will return!

Best view in St. Marys.

My wife and I stayed here in the summer for an extended stay and fell in love with it. Don was an amazing host, anything you needed, he was right there and ready to help. I highly recommend the Captains Quarters to anyone looking for a beautiful relaxing stay in St. Marys, that's walking distance to all of the downtown historic areas.

Slice of heaven

This property is immaculate and well appointed. The decor and location is perfect! We were so pleased to find it was pet friendly too!! The deck overlooking the marsh was a great place for morning tea. The bed was super comfy and the master bath was gorgeous!! We WILL be back!

Peaceful Sunrise

The host was most accommodating and informative as well as very friendly. This was a prefect location to catch the ferry to Cumberland Island or to go for a stroll in charming downtown St. Mary’s. Centrally located to points of interest like Fort Clinch and Amelia Island. Sunrise with coffee overlooking the beautiful marsh was everything we could ask for.

Labor Day Weekend Getaway

The Captain's Quarters was perfect for a couple and our 2 puppies. Adirondack chairs from a second story porch lend to beautiful views of the marsh and Cumberland Island. The host is very hospitable and accommodating. We plan to go back!

Beautiful St Mary’s

This property is a gem with every amenity. It is located on a historic property in a stunning location with a beautiful view over the nearby marshes from the front porch. We walked our dog multiple times a day through the historic neighborhood. Our hosts were lovely and very helpful too.

Beautiful spot in Saint Mary’s

What a wonderful week at the Captain’s Quarters, with a view of the marsh in Saint Mary’s. Everything about this place was lovely and comfortable, from the bed to the jacuzzi tub to the Adirondack chairs on the balcony. Communication was fast and easy - and Don was so great. A definite gem!

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful

My wife and I stayed here while visiting our daughter at Kings Bay naval base. It was a wonderful place. Very clean, great view, well decorated, great location. My wife is very sensitive to smells and this placed had none. Location is easy walking distance to waterfront old town St Marys with restraints, bars, and stores. Great small town atmosphere with short drive to major stores. Host was friendly and always available. Thank you, Don, for a wonderful place.

The place to stay in St. Marys

We were very happy with our stay at this property in St. Marys. The rooms were sparkling clean, nicely decorated and there was plenty of space. As others mentioned, the sunrises were beautiful. The location was safe and only about a 5 minute walk to downtown shops, restaurants and the waterfront. We had a couple of very nice dinners at the Riverside Café. Don was a wonderful host. He gave us a little tour of the town and even brought us muffins!

Charming getaway!

5 stars!!! The property is beautiful, spotless and spacious. Don is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. He even invited us into his home to chat and get more acquainted. I would and will recommend this property to family and friends. We hope to see you soon Don!

Wonderful stay

My husband and I spent a lovely month at this VRBO. Don the owner is a great host, always available if need be. Though we had no issues to report. The apartment is beautiful, perfect for the two of us. It provided all the amenities, DISH tv and comfortable furniture and bedding. It is only 2 blocks from historic St Marys which added to the attraction of this property.
