  • Surf Song #239 - Great beach getaway at popular Surf Song Resort! This is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom condo with side view balcony of beautiful Madeira Beach! Bright and open retreat contains nice furnishings throughout. The full kitchen provides utensils, including microwave and coffeemaker and has newer appliances ready for your cooking needs! The living room has a flat panel television and leads to the outdoor balcony where you can soak in terrific Florida sun! Free Wifi. Please note this condo does not have a phone. You will be required to sign a rental agreement with SunHost Resorts prior to a reservation being confirmed.

    The master bedroom, with comfortable king sized bed, is spacious and leads to a spotless bathroom. Linens for all beds, extra pillows and sufficient towels for your stay are always provided at SunHost resorts.

    As a SunHost guest, you will have access to office services, including copy and printing boarding passes. Seven day a week maintenance service is available as well as an after hours emergency on call person. This is a non smoking home.

    The added bonus is this unit is a short walk to all amenities! You can be at the beach, heated swimming pool, BBQ facilities and John's Pass Village in less than five minutes! At the "Pass" you and your family and friends can enjoy shopping, restaurants, and entertainment along a 1,100 pirate themed boardwalk. A quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village and Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. The Village has over one hundred unique shops, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. Best of all as a SunHost customer you can walk to this great entertainment destination. Anchor tenants include Bubba Gumps, Hooters and Hubbards Marina and also world famous Bamboo Beer Garden.

    Madeira Beach is a sought after community, just west of St. Petersburg. Its 2.5 mile beach is popular with sun lovers and offers some of the best fishing in the area. This beautiful Gulf getaway, has something for everyone, including water sports along some of the most beautiful crystal clear waters in the world.

    Nearest airports are Tampa International Airport at just over 20 miles and St. Petersburg Clearwater International at 10 miles away.

Perfect condo right on the beach and directly across from John’s Pass. Very clean. Kitchen was stocked. Bed was comfortable. Perfect beach sunset views! Pool area was great!

Beach get away

Fantastic time, clean condo. We were in walking distance of so many delicious food and coffee shops along with souvenire shops! We will definitely be back.

Nice trip

Only negative thing I could say about this property was it had limited things I thought would be included. No shampoo and conditioner. No paper towels. And no cooler. Other than that, it was a great place to stay. Clean and close to Johns Pass which has about everything you need to have a great vacation.

Wonderful Location, and you’ll pay for the low price

We stayed at Surf Song last year, ran into a few hiccups but we loved the location and the price is really great. Well….. you pay for that in the long run. We had a wonderful week up until our last 2 days. Our A/C stopped working midday and we woke up drenched in sweat in the middle of the night. I mean hello- it’s Florida with above average temps. They have these posted signs in some rooms reading not to put your temp below 72 (now- that’s a JOKE for anyone, but ok)… the ceiling fans were a nice touch and we never set our thermostat lower- we actually kicked it up to 74 when we left the room to give ourselves something to look forward to (that 2 cool down) when we came in for the night. Maintenance came on our last day and mentioned having to talk to the owners of the property about the unit…. So clearly, there’s a bigger issue at hand. At this point it was 85 in our room. Can you even imagine??? Coming off the beach to an 85 stuffy room. Absolutely miserable. We left. We paid an almost 100 uber (hello Memorial Day weekend) to spend another 100 on a different hotel so we could sleep in a room equipped with AC before our flight home tomorrow. I am just so flustered and disappointed that this is how we had to end our vacation. It really ruins the whole week no matter how great of a time we had and the things we did love (pool, location, beach). It ruins it all. We had plans for an evening walk on the boardwalk, ice cream, watching the sunrise for our last hours. Ruined

Surfside Resort Great Stay

Freshly painted walls, new tile floors, new cabinets and bathroom vanity the unit provided all we needed for a great stay. Very comfortable king size bed. Kitchen was well stocked and unit had beach chairs, lounger and umbrella, tv in living room and bedroom and nice outdoor patio. The resort provides under building parking, three barbeques on natural gas (Webers that are great), a great, warm pool and right on beach for easy access. Beautiful sunsets and John's Pass across the street make this a great location for a vacation. The building is older but kept clean and has a nice resort feel. We will return here on future visits.

Unit was recently updated with a new kitchen, flooring, washroom vanity and freshly painted. It was stocked with everything needed to cook with, pots,pans, utensils etc..we were extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the unit and of the surrounding property. Pool very clean and heated. Also made use of the three bbq’s located off the parking lot and the washer and dryer’s located on all levels. I highly recommend this unit to rent, you will not be disappointed. Must also add just across the street from John’s Pass for shopping, restaurants and you will surely see dolphins entertaining you almost daily.

Reviewer Comments: Last year, we stayed a couple doors down at Beach Place, and I would definitely recommend Surf Song above them.Only small complaints to be had - the bathroom fan is a little noisy. We didn't find the potholders until we were leaving (they were up on a shelf in a cabinet) and there are no bath mats, so be careful/use towels. Internet can also be laggy, but it's vacation - get outside.The pool is nice, the balcony is perfect for sunset views, and the building is clean and comfortable.

This was our third time in room 239. We like this room, I do have 2 complaints 1. The pressure in the shower is awful and 2. When we arrived it wreaked of cigarette smoke. We are not smokers and for the first 4 days we also wreaked of cigarette smoke because our clothes smelled off it. We also were unhappy with the condition of the pool, it isn't being maintained like it should be. My favorite part of this room is the balcony it had a very nice view. The bed is very comfortable.

Unsafe, losing its reputation. Not worth the $$

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve been coming to Surf Song for the last 10 years. All of our rooms have always been great and Location is always great, but things have really changed. As of now, service is so-so, amenities are eh, and the room we had this year (239) not great. The balcony in this room, I know is a law suit waiting to happen. The bars are rusted, most to the point of total detachment. So any amount of weight pushes the bar outwards, off the balcony. The water pressure in the shower was literally a trickle. There’s water pressure everywhere else so this condo owner just needs to buy a new shower head. Shuffleboard is gone, which was always so much fun for us- the elevator was TERRIBLE. We took the stairs the entire stay unless we have to take a bunch up to the room. So it takes about 5 min for the elevator to open, even once it’s on your floor. And then another 5 min to open when you’re in it- So you sit in this elevator wondering if it’s going to open or if you should press the help button. Awful, especially for folks with anxiety/claustrophobia. So lots could be fixed. Also, they are raising rates anywhere from $400-$700/week. The hotel, even though on the beach, is not worth the $1600 we spent for the 7 days we were there, let alone $2000-$2700 for a week.
