Bellamente restaurada, la histórica casa Tarpon Springs se encuentra a poca distancia de los famosos muelles de esponjas, el centro de Tarpon Springs y el centro de la ciudad. The host did not give us the security code for getting into the property. After two calls, he still have not returned our call. The property was for sale so we ended up calling the realtor and he was able to give us a code to get in the door. We did contact Vrbo and supposedly they are giving us 125 credit for the 40 minute delay in getting into the house. That has not been received yet. The hot water blinked the lights every time we used it. It needs to have its own dedicated circuit. The house was very clean, but because of the check-in process and the hot water issue with the lighting, it was a little frustrating.

Pros:The location of the house is great. You can walk to restaurants, activities and the sponge docks. It also is large enough to sleep a lot of people. The sitting areas don’t accommodate many but for sleeping purposes you can fit a lot of people. The large beds were extremely comfortable and communication was great. We had to use both the AC and the heat and both worked very well. All TV’s had plenty of apps logged in and ready to use. One TV did not work which we communicated to the owner.Cons:The house wasn’t clean to the standards I’d expect at the price point you’re paying. There was sand in the refrigerator, ants in the kitchen and live roaches in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. I considered not worrying about the cleanliness until I had a roach on my toothbrush. The air vents were absolutely filthy, there was hair on the mirror ledge above the kitchen sink and the master shower head was so clogged we used a toothpick to open the holes for water to come out. The towels provided were small and hardly fit around your body. The dishes were dirty in the cupboards. The listing stated that shampoo and soap were provided but it was only provided in one of three bathrooms. The listing also stated hair dryers were provided but again, there was one in one of the three bathrooms. If you don’t want to play pass the soap and hair dryer, you’d need to bring your own. We loved our stay. The house is located in a great location. Close to the beach, Sponge Docks, downtown Tarpon. The house had spacious rooms and a great fenced in back yard.

Liked there was a parking area behind the home for 4 cars. Very clean but know you need to bring all toiletries with you. Some soap dispensers full but others had very little. Would love to see lamps in every bedroom as well as luggage racks. Please bring your clothes hangers with you- very few in closets. The fences in yard is not attached to back door. The fenced in area is nice but the gate to get in has a gap around opening a dog might be able to get out. Loved the old house feel to it. There is traffic noise due to it being on Alt 19- 2 blocks away from downtown Tarpon Springs. We would stay there again.

The house has a lot of character, easy to find, the host was a fast communicator. House was clean with the exception of a couple spider friends, but it’s Fl so that comes with the territory. It served the purpose of my family meeting for a wedding and it was beautiful!

We had a great time here! I'm a youth pastor who looks for places to keep students for a few days each summer, and this house did great to serve our needs. We had room to spread out comfortably. If you're looking for a place in town and close to everything, this is the place! I only had to communicate with the hosts a couple times, but they were professional and courteous, and quick to answer what I needed. If I was to give a tip to any future guests, I would say unless you're comfortable parking in the street next to the house, two cars is max for parking, and as someone who often uses enclosed trailers for luggage for trips, I'm glad I didn't need one this time. Overall, their consistent 4-5 star ratings speak for themselves!

Graduation Palace

Upon arrival the property was exactly as listed. It was clean and comfortable and in a great neighborhood. Excellent neighbors and very friendly. We loved the porch and spent a lot of time there. We celebrated my granddaughter's graduation from Gulf high school. The backyard was perfect for a seafood boil and certainly meet our needs. The host was very kind and responded promptly to our request. This was the perfect home away from home. The shower upstairs in the master bedroom was my favorite thing about the house. My only suggestion is to spray the house for bugs prior to arrival of the guest. However, mosquito spray was readily available. Thank you for keeping your property presentable.

Lovely home

The home was perfect for our group. There were 4 bedrooms upstairs with two bathrooms and an additional bedroom and bathroom on the main floor. It was perfect for three adults and two teenagers to each have their own rooms. The layout was easy for us all to gather and spend time together over meals and coffee. The house was very comfortable in terms of temperature and space. Additionally, the host was very responsive and kind. We would consider renting again in the future.

Great house for the money

The house was big enough for the 9 of us. It is an older home and has some challenges, but the location is great. The cleaning crew was rushed because of the renters before us did not leave on time, but wasn't anything that would prevent you from having a pleasant stay. The price was more than fair for the size and location of the home.

It could be great.......but

The house is quite charming and located in a great spot for getting to the beach (Honeymoon recommend) and attractions in Tarpon as a whole. However being located on 19 alt. Means road noise day and night. Simetimes quite incredible. We did experience roaches toward the end of the week but that is obviously correctable. Because if the major noise factor I cannot recommend this property.

The property had one bedroom on the1st floor, descripition had 3 bedrooms on the first floor (we are aged seniors). The descripitions stated there was a firepit there was not, firepit was to allow us gents to smoke outside; as this is a non smoking property. Property amenities were over sold at best. It is a quaint little historial southern home that has been nicely upgrade; good place to sleep.

Tarpon Springs 6-week stay

House totally redone, very good job. Location in Tarpon Springs is good, near downtown and docks, close to Pinellas Trail for biking, big plus for us. House was clean, above average, Good parking and safe place to store our bikes. Major negative is traffic noise from Pinellas Ave, 24/7, very noisy. House needs a bit of TLC, kitchen cabinet drawers, refrigerator, stove top need attention. Two smoke detectors are not functioning, management informed after 4th day, promised to replace but never happened.
