I immediately knew we rented a melon when I walked out to get a look at the water, and noticed the mangroves were littered with empty beer cans. It was clearly leftover garbage from the previous renters. One of the exterior doors was broken and would not lock so the house was always insecure. Ironically, they tried to take my security deposit saying we broke it. There was evidence of termite droppings in several places, most notably on the kitchen island coming from the light above.The kitchen pullout garbage was clearly broken but they must have tried to fix it in-between renters. It fell on to the floor the first time I tried to open it. The jets in the pool weren’t working upon arrival, and the filter was giving off a high-pitched sound for most of our stay. Most of the bathroom drains are clogged and slow to empty. The first-floor bathroom shower curtain has mold on the lower third. None of the games shown in the pictures are operable. The pop-shot basketball game in the basement was broken and the cornhole game outside doesn’t have enough bags to even play. The basement AC units weren't draining properly and leaked water back into the rooms. This property is known, and hated, by neighbors as the short-term rental on the block. Be prepared to deal with them and the police.
