The only draw back was the dirtyness of the floors (made the bottoms of my feet black every time).

Honeymoon

My son and daughter-in-law stayed here for their honeymoon. We had always come to Maderia on spring break so my son wanted to show his new wife, a special place from his childhood. This condo was perfect for them. It was clean and easily accessible to everything they wanted. It was right on the beach, and that was one of the requirements! Check in was easy.

Location, Location, Location!

The renting process was easy as was the check in process. The property was immaculate and had just about everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and we slept very well. We had an oceanfront and the view was spectacular! The beach was a short 2 minute walk! John’s Pass boardwalk was also a 2 minute walk where there are restaurants, shopping, fishing excursions, ice cream, etc…Everything you could ever want! This was the most relaxing vacation ever.

3/5: Amazing Location, Rough Around the EdgesWalkable to John's Pass means easy access to food and entertainment, the ocean view from the condo is stunning, you've got beach access, and the pool area is genuinely great. If this review were based on location alone, we'd be singing a different tune.Here's why we didn't go higher:1) Floor of Mystery: My 9-month-old's knees went from pink to coal-black after one day of crawling. Floors (especially grout) need a deep clean, stat.2) Noise Fest: The beach gate slams all day like a drum solo. At night you'll CLEARLY hear every hallway conversation and an elevator that dings like it's sending Morse code. Bring earplugs. Bring two pairs!3) Beds With a Vendetta: My 32-year-old, perfectly healthy husband woke up feeling 80. The beds are brutal on your back and squeak if you so much as breathe wrong; rolling over risks waking the whole complex. Also: please add curtains. Outside lights shine straight into your face if you're on the window side. PLEASE REPLACE THE MATTRESSES. Better rest could have changed the week and our tolerance for the nighttime noise. 4) Surprise Guests: No warning before maintenance let themselves in. I was breastfeeding on the balcony and looked up to find a stranger yelling in my living room, just there to change an air filter. Non-urgent tasks like this should happen between stays, not mid-vacation.Bottom line: Gorgeous views, unbeatable location, but the condo needs some real TLC.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we went here for a softball tournament and stayed at Beach Place. We had about 20 families stay here. The location and the view were awesome. What was not awesome was how the staff talks and treats the customers and how they have an elevators that doesn’t work.Checked in and was directed to the wrong building. Called and said code doesn’t work they gave me one and it got in and someone else was in room. Turns out it was the wrong building. They were just at closing time and the lady was very rude. So much she had to give me a new booklet and when she did said I am sorry for being rude.Finally get to right place and met with an elevator and people waiting. One person says they got stuck in it another said it works sometimes. Didn’t think anything if it but that turned into the theme of the week. Turns out an owner of a unit said they collected and paid for the elevator and told them it was working and the guy was mad that it wasn’t. Called everyday the elevator didn’t work and every day the person in the phone was rude and said the elevator works fine. Kept sending the maintenance guy and he said I don’t know how to fix it I’m just here because they told me. There were many elderly people and people that could not walk up stairs and it was an issue and no one from the office cared they were just rude and made excuses and said it worked. Many people had to carry luggage up flights of stairs.To top it off came back and someone was in my spot and I parked in the staff spot which happened day 1 and the lady said to park there if it happens so I did. Came down a bit later to check to move and was greeted with a warning to get towed and went to my assigned spot. I went there and was approached by a staff and the guy started yelling at me that he’s towing my car. I asked for what and he said I am in someone else’s spot. My spot said a different

Bathroom clean BUT definitely need to move toilet paper dispenser - ridiculous location now. Almost impossible to reach.Icemaker quit working on 3rd day - not worth reporting since we were only there 4 days.

Family Vacation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, great beach, lots of things to do at Johns Pass and you can walk to them. The propertys beds are old and extreemly uncomfortable. Need to be replaced with new matresses and box springs, preferably queen size.Needs more dishes, pots and pans, a matching set of wine glasses and 12 oz coffee mugs and basic Kuerig coffee maker.The latch/lock on the balcony slider is broken and needs to be repaired.The furniture in the living /dining area is old and outdated. Not enough seating for four people and very uncomfortable.We would not be renting this unit again unless upgrades are made.

The door to the balcony was broken and wouldn't lock. The elevator was in need of new flooring.

We had to bring our own from home2.there were no coffee filters ,we had to buy them 3.the beds were very loud. When ever you rolled over they squeeked loud. Everything else about the condo was great. Had a good time,caught fish and ate well. Am looking forward to coming back in several months?

Great location, nice rooms, but always packed

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 3rd year staying and we love the location and the closeness to the beach. Our room is nice but the owners need to replace the cheap beds for the price they are charging for the rooms. The pool needs to be expanding for the amount of rooms they have and rules need to be enforced. My husband and son has a man who was a guest drunk and walking around the property butt naked and then we constantly had to fight about people double parking in spots making it hard for my other family to get out of their spot. Overall I would stay again unless they keep hiking the price up $400-$500 a week.

Decor could use some updating as furniture was pieced together. Elevator definitely needs to be updated, slowest, hottest elevator ever. The office Staff was just as nice as can be. Made us feel very welcomed. We would definitely return.

Reviewer Comments: Our rental experience with you was great.There were a few minor issues I would like to mention.The first bowl from your clean dishes was put away filthy.Probably a careless guest.The kitchen table was sticky and not wiped down.The table between the beds had something spilled on it that was sticky..Obviously not cleaned.Under head of beds was very dusty.None of this was a serious issue but a bit of a turn was a great location and we would definitely go back.A little more care in the cleaning would be good.Also please add a full length mirror.One bathroom mirror just doesn’t do it.Many people shop and need this.Also inconvenient when someone using bathroom and you only need the mirror.

Amazing place right on the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is amazing, right on the beach, and across the street from John's Pass. We were able to setup our stuff on the beach and come and go as we pleased. The unit is quite large and had everything we needed with a great view from the balcony. We didn't have to drive anywhere except to get groceries once or twice. We will definitely consider this same unit next year!
