I reserved this property and paid the initial down payment. I had until a certain date to get a full refund should I decide to cancel. I never received any communication that the reservation was confirmed at all, either from Expedia or the host of this property until after the date of a full refund. Then I received only that the rest of the payment was due. I told them, since I didn't hear from them, I booked another property in St. Pete and asked for a refund of the initial down payment.
The host was very rude and said for me to cancel the reservation, but they would not refund the initial down payment.
I tried to cancel through her and through Expedia and she said she did not see it.
I disputed this with my credit card company.
Terrible communication and the host was so rude. I have all of the emails.
