Great family beach house

We loved our stay! The house was well kept, slept all of our kids and us comfortably, and the golf cart was a life saver getting to the beach. Beautiful neighborhood, would definitely rent again!

Lovely neighborhood. Great master mattress. Oven doesn’t work right. Diff furniture in Den than what is pictured. No recliner. Electric couch not able to be plugged in to use recliners. Ice maker leaked. Not enough wash clothes. Golf cart worked great. Bunk beds creaky.

SSI Beach House

My husband and our 2 small dogs stayed for the week. We loved this cozy house! It has hardwood floors throughout the house. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and a well stocked kitchen for cooking. It is very close to the beach and is in a very nice area for walking the dogs. We often walked to the end of the road, down to the beach; then we walked the beach to the coast guard beach entrance and then back home- 2 miles. It was a very quiet neighborhood. When we contacted the rental company about a small problem, it was fixed within hours. We were within a few miles of many restaurants and activities. We highly recommend this house!

Great Beach House

Lovely beach home in a great location near East Beach. Very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Easy communication with owners and quick response time. Access to beach at 6th street is a short walk. Use of golf cart an added bonus and helped with carrying chairs and beach stuff. Plenty of local restaurants nearby, spoilt for choice. Hoping we can return next year.

A fabulous month on East Beach

I was blessed to be able to spend the entire month in this perfect home. The location was exactly what I wanted. I had friends/family visit throughout the month and everyone loved it. The home was equipped with everything I needed. The golf cart was a huge bonus! It made going and coming from the beach so easy.

Perfect Beach House

We loved the property! You can’t beat the location and convenience to the beach. The house was very comfortable and had enough space for our group of 6. Kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep and there were chairs, towels, umbrella, cooler for trips to the beach. There were plenty of quality bath towels and all the essentials. The golf cart was a huge bonus. We really enjoyed mornings & evenings on the porch. Honestly, I did not want to leave!

Family vacation

The rug in living room needs to be trashed, because there is no way that rug can be vacuumed with all those snags because a vacuum cleaner would stay clogged up. The day we got there it was sooo hot in there it too until next day to cool. We bought groceries at local grocery and bought hamburgers and hotdogs to grill but could not grill because the grill was dirty and so rusted. The location was perfect but needs some work. The golf cart would not run the first day. The house has great potential but needs some work.

The perfect stay for our family of 4

We have been going to SSI every year for 10 years (we were married here) we’ve stayed at many homes on the island and on East Beach and Bruce Dr. This property was the perfect size for my husband and I along with our two young children. Access to 6th street beach was easy and convenient and the golf cart was a wonderful perk! Stacy the owner was very responsive and easy to work with. We WILL be back!

Good vacation with a few hiccups

The check in process for this property was great and had no problems finding it. It is an older home but the bathrooms and kitchen are updated. We had a few electrical issues the 3rd day and when trying to call the emergency numbers *provided by the host* nobody would pick up. The breaker tripped and caused the air conditioning to not cool. Once the owners responded we were able to flip the breaker back on and had to sit without air conditioning for 1.5 hours and the house temperature was 78 degrees. Then during the last night the fire alarms went off in all of the house at 2:15 am for no reason. There were several cockroaches and mosquitoes. Also if you are planning to work remotely here you may want to pick another property because the wifi is not strong and is very spotty. The location and neighborhood was great and the golf cart was a nice bonus!

Precious & Perfect

This beach cottage is precious! Spacious, sweetly & comfortably decorated for two couples and teenagers. Kitchen is well-stocked as well. Proximity to the beach is perfect. Golf cart is on the older side, moves a bit elderly for main road travels, but a big convenience and was nice to have. Loved our stay here!

A disappointment

The house was very old, and the instructions were more like threats. The golf cart was moldy, and the bed was very uncomfortable. The location was good, but they really cheaped out on toilet paper and there were no paper towels. And the front door didn't lock.

Perfect vacation home in the best area on St Simons!

The house was in excellent condition and very clean. We loved sitting on the front porch ever day. Large smart TV in the living room with Hulu was great. Smart TVs in the bedrooms. Beds comfortable. Bathrooms very nice. Kitchen was perfect. Large backyard was nice. Lots of towels and blankets. Loved walking around east beach and looking at all the beautiful homes. Walk to the beach was beautiful with large trees and greenery and then the beach and ocean! Loved having the golf cart to scoot around and take to the beach with chairs. This home was perfect in every way and we hated to leave it! But we’re looking forward to our next trip there!
