Second stay at this Vrbo. Pictures are accurate and the view is amazing. This Down East area of Carteret County was medicine for my soul. The location is an easy drive to beaches and in town shopping and dining. This place is for those who wish quiet, restful relaxation away from the din of normal city dwelling. If you like gulls, waterbirds, raptors and jumping mullet, then shangrila you may find. The wife must have read three books while there and saltmarsh air works for me better than a beta blocker for my hypertension. kb from sc

My family was amazed by how well-stocked the property was…down to the smallest details. Even if someone came to stay without having brought anything with them initially (apart from food and clothing) they would have been extremely comfortable. A truly amazing week’s experience for my flounder-gigging / nature- loving family.

We enjoyed our stay at this house! It has a very efficient lay out with plenty of space. The yard was wonderful for the kids to play in and ride their bikes. It is centrally located to several Beaufort, Moorehead, and Cedar Island.

Great Space

Beautiful home with very comfortable bedrooms and baths. Took our kayaks out in the sound and enjoyed the wildlife. Great for a peaceful break. Great seafood in Beaufort too.

Tranquility at it’s finest

Beautiful home in a quiet location. Not far from the area activities. My family had a great time fishing out back and hunting for sea creatures. Wonderful stay and will be going back.

Amazing private home

My kids and I had an amazing time! The house was very clean and had everything we needed to cook and relax. Had a great time catching crabs off the dock and the house and yard are very private which was nice! The views and peacefulness was amazing! The property manager Kim was excellent to work with. We will be staying here again sometime everything was just perfect!

Enjoyable getaway

This house was great to get away from all the busyness from being in more developed areas. We brought kayaks and had a wonderful time launching right from the back yard!

Very nice property recently updated and well stocked for all your needs. Offers a great opportunity to experience the undeveloped Outer Banks and Lower East NC areas in a relaxed and serene environment. We enjoyed being off the beaten path a bit to unplug and unwind (but still had technology available!). Great for fishing or kayaking from the backyard. Enjoyed day trips to Harkers Island, Morehead, and Ocracoke via ferry just up the road. DG store located a couple miles north for most essentials while there. Host was very responsive and helpful. Had a couple small items we need help with at check in and they were easy to get in touch with and helped us right away. We recommend hosts and this property for those that want a peaceful getaway in a beautiful area of North Carolina!

Great house and view!!

Property was excellent! Owner was very responsive to questions. We enjoyed a week of kayaking and fishing. Our pup loved it too. Close enough to stores when needed but secluded for relaxation.

The house was everything we needed to thoroughly enjoy what we love about the area. Clean, inspiring view of Nelson Bay, and the chance to catch drum and crabs right off the shore. Kim was great to communicate with: prompt, clear, concise, and complete. We had a great time!

Quiet Vacation

We enjoyed the property for our family vacation. It had the space we needed to spread out a little bit and was big enough to accommodate my parents and brother for the second part of the week. The area is away from the touristy stuff but close enough for a 30 minute drive to restaurants. Beaufort and Morehead City had some really good restaurants. We enjoyed the boat ramp at Harker's Island.

Good Fishing Location

We were there solely to fish and we were not disappointed. Excellent spot for red drums, speckled trout, blues and flounder. House was very clean. We definitely recommend.
