The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. We enjoyed relaxing after a day of hiking. The fire pit had some wood already and we found sticks to toast marshmallows. When we went to wash a load of laundry there was not detergent. We contacted the host and they were responsive. Detergent was dropped off while we were hiking. The weather varied during our stay from 40s to 80s. We used the heat and were comfortable but could adjust the AC lower than 74 and got pretty toasty at night. It would have been nice to open the windows but there were no screens in them. Overall a great stay, just a bit unpleasant during the warmer part of our stay.

I give it a 5, would definitely come back, but there are a few things that will help others prepare:First pros: Very clean, new, modern, well stocked w/ necessities (tp, paper towels, dish soap, dish pods, towels, lots of pillows). Ceiling fans in bedrooms, space heaters, plenty of dishes cookware, even items I wouldn’t expect - lighters, portable speakers, coffee pods, firewood, charcoal. Hot tub was perfect, very clean.House layout was perfect for me my two teen kids. Convenient location to hikes.Great communication. Quick responses.Now cons:They are NOT kidding when they say 4wd is necessary. The roads and driveways are steep, mostly unpaved, and after it stormed one night the dirt portions rutted out. Plus, they are only one car wide, so it’s necessary to pull off to the side if a vehicle is coming which can be difficult. Don’t try this in a car or in snow.Wasps were an issue. They loved the metal soffeting outside the front door. When we first arrived there were many that had gotten inside. We killed about 10 indoors and my son got stung on the knee. We did text and they told us there was wasp spray under the sink but the can was empty. Luckily it got cold the first night and we didn’t have to deal with them again.Last- When we arrived it was 88 outside 76 inside, the loft room was @ about 84. They said we could control the temp but the a/c was locked at 74 and wouldn’t go lower, leaving the loft at 80.Overall loved it would stay again!
Fire pit was awesome at night time, and close to the house. Plus firewood and lighters were provided!

Was a little hard to find the place in the dark but not too difficult. Kitchen has plenty of cookware, dishware, and utensils. Hot tub was great. Overall great place to stay.

By far the best vaction rental we have ever used. The location was perfect for hitting all of our hiking trails. The rooms, showers, and hot tub were all super clean. The main floor was easy to toddler-proof. We will be back! The driveway was steep as stated, but our all wheel drive Sienna made it just fine.

Fantastic clean cabin. Very modern. 2 big bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms. Small lift with trundle twin beds. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for a long weekend

The house is fantastic. Very clean. Very comfortable spaces. Well stocked with glasses, cups, plates, and cooking utensils. I would rent both this property and any other property from RRGGetaways.com. The one thing to know is that the road up to the house can be treacherous. We were fortunate to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

Lovely, clean home! Close to Red River! Loved the crystal kayak tour! The road to the home is narrow, but once there we were fine and the return trips were fine too.

Loved our stay.

Very nice and clean. Well supplied. Signage to the cabins would have been nice. It’s difficult to turn around when you don’t know where you’re going. One way roads and having to back up when you run into on coming traffic.

The host communicated well about check-in/check-out details. The site accommodated our family of four well. We used nearly all amenities including the hot tub and cooking on the grill and in the kitchen. It was a clean and comfortable residence. The roads immediately leading to the house are very steep but we managed fine. We enjoyed our stay!

The cabin is very nice and peaceful. Check-in was easy and we used the kitchen to warm up pizza we got from a local restaurant. Kids watched a movie in the loft and we enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin is close to hiking trails, the River Gorge and restaurants. We would certainly stay here again!

Vacation in the woods

The property was new, clean and well equipped. The walk in front door with 2 bedroom suites on the main level made this very comfortable for our friend who has limited mobility. Communication with our hosts was frequent with quick replies. The directions to the property are critical because the development is new and all of the roads are not yet on Google maps. Roads are narrow and part of it is still gravel with minor ruts. The reduced development made the property feel even more remote...the feel we were looking for.
