Rent the whole riverfront property on the Muskegon River: Birch Cottage plus The Barn suite, sleeping 8 in 4 bedrooms with 2 baths. Swim or fish from the private dock, paddle out in the kayaks, grill under the maples and end the night at the fire pit by the water. Full kitchen, laundry, fast Wi-Fi and free EV charging. One dog welcome in the cottage. The White Pine Trail is a mile away, Big Rapids is 10 minutes, and Tullymore golf is about 15.

We live nearby and are always a message away. We usually reply within the hour, and we're happy to share our favorite local spots for dinner, fishing and trails.

Rogers Pond is a quiet stretch of the Muskegon River near Stanwood, with two easy towns nearby. Canadian Lakes, about 15 minutes away, has Hixon's Family Market for groceries, Antlers Fireside Grill for dinner, and great golf: Tullymore (one of Golf Digest's 100 Greatest Public Courses) and its sister course St. Ives. Big Rapids, about 10 minutes away, has Meijer, Walmart, Lowe's and plenty of chain restaurants, plus a fun downtown with local favorites Blue Cow Cafe and Schuberg's Bar. More golf is near Big Rapids at Katke (Ferris State), Falcon Head and Clear Lake. The Fred Meijer White Pine Trail is about a mile from the house: bike it in summer or ride snowmobiles in winter.

- Everything is yours: both buildings, the dock, yard, fire pit, grill, cottage deck, laundry and EV charger. No other guests on the property.
- Swim and fish right off the dock. A Michigan fishing license is required for anyone 17 or older.
- 2 kayaks with paddles, life jackets and a dolly in the garage. Use them at your own risk. Launch right from the dock.
- Pontoon add-on: $75 per day, mid-May through September. Reserve before arrival; depends on weather. A signed waiver is required, and anyone born after June 30, 1996 needs a Michigan boater safety certificate to drive it.
- Cornhole set in the garage
- Level 2 EV charger on the side of the barn, free to use
- Free parking in front of the tan garage, with room for a snowmobile trailer
- Self check-in with keypads on both doors. Codes are sent before you arrive.

- Birch Cottage (the blue cottage): queen bedroom, open living room with a big picture window onto the river, full kitchen (stove and oven, full-size fridge, microwave, drip coffee maker and Keurig), dining table for four, and its own deck with Adirondack chairs facing the river
- The Barn (upstairs in the tan barn): 2 queen bedrooms with smart TVs and desks, a bunk room and living area with a twin-over-twin bunk and a smart TV, a kitchenette and a full bathroom
- Riverfront yard with a grill and picnic table under the maples, and a wood fire pit with Adirondack chairs by the water (free bundle of firewood each stay)
- Washer and dryer in the garage, with detergent provided
- Fast Wi-Fi in both buildings
- Coffee and granola bars are on us

- The Barn suite is upstairs, so expect a flight of stairs
- Pets: 1 dog welcome in Birch Cottage only (not the barn suite), $50 pet fee per stay. Please pick up after your dog.
- Fire pit: use the wood provided or firewood bought locally (no wood from home), put the fire fully out before bed, and no fires on windy days
- Kayaking and swimming are at your own risk. Children must be supervised near the water at all times.
- No smoking or parties. Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am.
