Unique silo turned home sweet home
Such a fun property and experience! It was so neat to see a silo haus! Something I could live in one day! The host made the stay comfortable and welcoming. It was so fun and relaxing.

One Night Stay
We are fans of the local restaurants and bars and stayed here for the night. We talked about coming back to stay longer to enjoy the property for what it is instead of just utilizing it for a place to sleep. It’s so cute and clean. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

My wife and I celebrated our 30th Anniversary weekend at the Silo Farm Haus. It is gorgeous! The owners have thought of everything. There is nothing you will need when you visit other than your own food and clothing. Not only is the house unique, but it is also very clean and comfortable. The property is quiet. All we heard in the evening were crickets and the occasional cow. It was great to get away from the grind and just relax on their porch swing or the hammock in the backyard. I definitely recommend this for any small family or couple needing some time away. It's not far from Ste. Genevieve or even Farmington if you want something to do off-property, but far enough that you don't hear the traffic. My wife and I enjoyed a game of corn hole (provided by the owners) and they even gave us a very thoughtful anniversary card and gift - completely unexpected. Great place! We certainly will be back again some day!

Stay at Silo Haus in Wine Country
This was the most amazing, beautiful place! I am so happy I was able to find this location. My daughter and I take a weekend every September to get away and spend time together. This location has been our FAVORITE so far! If you enjoy peace and quiet along with beauty, this is the place to be! With it being in between Farmington and Ste. Genievieve, we got to enjoy both beautiful cities and everything in between!!!!!

Absolutely beautiful
This silo is absolutely stunning! Great peaceful location. Looks exactly as pictured and described. Definitely follow the directions you are emailed. Google maps had us in completely the wrong spot. We had some cows as neighbors for the night which was great. Note that there is no wifi and reception is spotty. Not a huge deal, but we did have to go outside to make some calls. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if in the area.

Wonderful!
My wife and I wanted to get away for a couple of days and this was the perfect place. The Silo Haus was so clean and cozy and the surroundings are so peaceful. The location is great with wineries, Hawn State Park and Ste. Genevieve all nearby. We hope to visit again soon.

Roger's 65th Getaway
If you love novelty stays this ones for you. Turning this grain bin into cabin was done to perfection. So tastefully farm style decorated. Outdoor area was so lovely and relaxing. Can't over state how well this rental was upkept. Area towns were perfect for sightseeing. With a few wineries to visit.

Very unique property
The Silo Haus was a quaint, unique property in the middle of Missouri’s Wine Country. The property was VERY clean and attention to detail was obvious from the moment you pull into the gravel drive. The sunsets over the pasture were amazing to see. Highly recommend

Perfect
Lovely, unique home out in the peaceful country. Very clean and comfortable. We stayed for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was what we needed to relax and unwind and enjoy each other’s company. Close to both Farmington and St Genevieve (a hidden quaint gem). Looks just as pictured and is well thought out for space utilization. It felt bigger than it is. And that ceiling: wow! Plus the cows in the evening were having a conversation of their own. Don’t hesitate to stay here, you’ll love it!

Wonderful!
We loved the silo. The location was serene and absolutely lovely in summer - the smell of fresh hay, the stillness, the quiet. We fully enjoyed everything. The silo was clean, very accommodating, quality, and tasteful. We had a really difficult time finding the property, which I blame on Google maps. We were quite lost, thankfully had reception, finally tried another map service and our route was corrected. I couldn’t get ahold of the owner, but thankfully we found the place after driving an unhealthy number of miles on a forlorn gravel lane. Still a wonderful trip. I’m ready to go back.

Great experience!
This is a really nice place! So quiet out in the country and peaceful! Absolutely spotless clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we wanted for an overnight getaway. The conversion from grain storage silo to rental cottage was extremely well done, thoughtfully laid-out, and I can only imagine the time spent on the amazing carpentry work to achieve that beautiful ceiling. Husband and I really enjoyed out getaway and look forward to booking again sometime soon!

Red Silo Stay 2022
I did text the phone number that was listed on the website and obviously the number has been changed. I was letting the owners know that we arrived. I got a text back 3 hours later saying "Who is This?" I guess the cell number has changed, but I am assuming that if the cell numbers change, the owners would be smart enough to change the "listed" numbers on any advertisements/websites listing the Silo. This property should be "FLAGGED" as not "ADA Friendly". Older and disabled folks should not stay here. The Silo was amazing, but I was concerned for older folks navigating the stairway. There was Christmas garland on the handrails which made it difficult for safety. It was cute and pretty, but you couldn't grab the top handrail in case you started falling. If somebody did fall on that stairway, there will be a lawsuit for sure, and I would hate to see that happen. Would be super nice, again for older or aging/ADA people if a bathroom was located in the same area as the master bedroom. Having to navigate those stairs in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom is super sketch!! Those stairs are definitely not up to code, and I am assuming since they are in a rural county there probably isn't any code, but that should be addressed. It also sucked that there wasn't any WIFI. Otherwise, it was super good.

A very unique place and locRion
Everything you could need is here. Peace and relaxation or a great jumping off place to hike and many state parks and natural areas or go shopping and sightseeing. Don’t miss world class Chaumette restaurant and winery only 10 minutes away. Would love to stay again.

This place is absolutely amazing! I would retire in this little hide away. It had absolutely everything you could ask for. I enjoy cycling especially those crazy fun hills! The beautiful vineyards with this little home hidden away in the back drop was perfect!!

As advertised- perfect getaway
Clean, quaint, private, and THE STARS out there - if it's a clear night don't miss the opportunity. Had everything you need and nothing you don't. Verizon service was hit or miss...could make calls but streaming music I left to the wife with ATT which works well out there. No wifi seems like a bummer but its a blessing in disguise. Beautiful sunset from the porch swing over the rolling pastures. Wonderful time for couples from STL a quick and very economical 1 night stay went a long way for us here. Don't pass it up. We couldn't be more happy with the whole experience.

Peaceful Getaway
We had a wonderful and peaceful get away! The Silo is a unique and special place! The craftsmanship is truly one of a kind and the owner’s eye for decorating and little details is not lost on anyone who stays there. The pride and care that has gone into the Silo Haus is evident. We loved the Cave Winery and chatting with one of the owners about the farm’s history and area. We would visit again!

Nice Unique Property and Pleasant Stay
We only spent one night at this property, but it was very unique, clean and comfortable. The hosts put out a few snacks and supplied some bottled water in the fridge. There was every kitchen amenity you could imagine, though we didn't cook there. Also had a washer/dryer which was very handy. The bed was comfortable. Lots of extra blankets. Very clean bathroom and shower area. Nice porch and porch swing. Hammock out back that we didn't use, but looked inviting. Appreciated the signage alongside the roadways that helped us locate the place. Thanks for a nice overnight stay!

Amazing!
This was the perfect base to explore the hiking trails and wineries in the area. The house was clean, stocked with everything you could need, and beautifully decorated in a farmhouse theme. We enjoyed the swing on the porch, enjoying the beautiful scenery. While the house presents well in the pictures, I feel like it was even better in person. It was very evident that the owners take a lot of pride in making this property the best that they possibly can. They even left us a snacks and personalized notes to make us feel right at home!

Simply Perfect
The Silo Haus was absolutely perfect. It was more than I expected. The pictures don't capture the craftsmanship of the Silo and the beautiful peaceful surroundings as soon as you enter the property. As a Mom and Educator, it is often difficult to find true peace. I found it at the Silo Haus. I spent hours on the swim with my coffee each morning and listened to the cows, birds and frogs. My husband and I enjoyed dinner at Chaumette and attended a wedding there the following evening. It was a perfect 7 min drive away. We are already looking at the calendar for another weekend, which will be difficult with limited weekends. Book before it's too late:)

Wonderful mother and daughters getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the silo. It’s even more charming than the pictures. Loved the homemade cookies and the sweet card and sign that welcomed us. The owner stopped by for a very quick visit just to be sure we had everything we needed. A wonderful place to relax and unplug from life. It’s also a short drive to shopping, hiking or to the wineries, if you choose to do that. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect!
We had a great time! Nice location away from any other houses, yet close to the highway to get places. We really enjoyed the unique experience, firepit and feeding the fish. While we were there we went to the Cave Vineyard and Pickle Springs Natural Area, I would recommend both! This was one of the best VRBO's we have ever stayed at! The only downside was AC/Heaters were hard to figure out and poor cell reception (which is not really a bad thing when you just need to unplug for awhile). Good cell reception in the upper level window though. Would definitely go back! Thanks for the great trip!

Countryside dream
Absolutely perfectly detailed place w/ remarkable owners. Rolling hills and star filled skies. Owner’s response to any questions were met with a quick response and extremely friendly. There was a lot of thought and detail in regards to the house and I know that it sounds cliché but pictures truly don’t do the entire experience justice. I would love to come back in the summertime and take advantage of the the many wineries the area has to offer. Thank you so much Jessica & Patrick for such an unforgettable Christmas with Cassandra
