Unit has a nice (compact) layout with some much-needed updates in evidence. However, considerable work remains such as replacing worn-out mattresses for the sofa & hide-a-bed, cleaning the carpet, organizing the kitchen (remove junk items, provide coffee cups, clean up food spatter), removing cobwebs & leaf debris from the windows (and hopefully the spiders we killed remedied another problem!), replacing yard-sale sheet/blanket collection, adding cover plate for unused TV cables hanging out of the wall, adding lighting/Lighting/LIGHTING! (one bulb in a cheap lamp for an entire bedroom is ridiculous), and several other items. Again, layout is acceptable but not sure SK104 qualifies as a 'ski in, ski out value'...it is at least 3 times the advertised distance to the slopes, front door opens to the community hot tub "festivities," bathroom exhaust fan is so dirty it vibrates through the wall into the kitchen, every morning was idling motors & exhaust starting around 6-ish in the parking lot outside the front windows, ski locker keys did NOT work, etc. While we had little choice due to our own schedule challenges locating a last-minute property, our surprise/concern with SK104 could have been avoided with a bit more honesty as well as some much-needed attention to the items already noted above - it easily has the potential to move from the 2-3 range up to a 7-8 (on a 10 point scale). Regretfully, we cannot recommend this property in current condition to family, friends, & colleagues who ski Steamboat.
