This was a great place to stay. The place was very nicely appointed and was very clean ... i loved that it was pretty friendly!The Host was very attentive and allowed me to adjust my reservation after it was already made ... and she makes some AMAZING Banana bread!Her communication prior to arrival was fantastic and access to the property was very easy. I hope to stay here on my next visit!

An unexpected treasure! I booked Steele Magnolia for the days surrounding my daughter’s wedding. It was 20 minutes from Mountain View Farms which made it perfect. The cottage exceeded my expectations and was the perfect compliment to the sweet week of festivities! Shannon has thought of everything. It is perfectly detailed and contained so many conveniences! I felt right at home. The bed that I slept on was comfortably firm, there were plenty of pillows and extra blankets if they had been needed. The bathroom was fully furnished with plenty of towels Nd washcloths too. Although I dis not cook, the kitchen was fully and completely stocked with cookware, utensils and dishes! Shannon has definitely gone the extra mile!

The Steele Magnolia cottage was very homie and cozy. Very pet friendly and accommodating for our needs away from home. The cottage is very comfortable, organized and clean. Definitely would recommend and would repeat stay.

Cute Place

Shannon allowed us to check in early which was nice!The fenced yard was great for our fur babies. Comfortable king bed with plenty of pillows. The bathroom is also nice with plenty of towels and amenities. Well stocked kitchen too! Appreciate the variety of snacks and coffee. Back porch is a great space. Thanks for sharing your space!

Hidden Gem Feels A lot Like Home

We had no real expectations and were seriously blown away because the cottage has nice amenities while not being too stuffy. We felt comfortable the entire time. Equally impressive was the host who replied to our text within minutes.

What a cozy, clean, really unique cottage ! Can't speak highly enough of this place. Been staying at vrbo properties for 20 years and this is one of the top 2 places we have rented ! From sweet and salty snacks, candy, coffee, banana bread, water, great response from the host, this place was top notch. Well done!

Steele Magnolia

The cutest little house!! We stayed at Steele Magnolia because we had an event in Gadsden for our lemonade/snow cone trailer to support our son with cancer #HookedOnHopeForKarston. This house was the perfect place to rest and recharge! Our boys loved the bunkbeds and tree swing! Mama and Daddy loved drinking our coffee and enjoying the breeze on the screened in porch in the mornings. The driveway had plenty of room for our trailer. We felt safe upon arrival, even coming in at midnight. The host left the porch lights on for us since she knew it would be late when we checked in. Plus, she left us with homemade banana bread for breakfast. How thoughtful!! The host of the Gadsden event invited The Squeeze & Freeze back for another event this fall and we will definitely be staying at Steele Magnolia again!!Thank you, Shannon, for providing such a cozy, peaceful place for our family to restrand recharge. We are so grateful!

Reconnecting with Family

Steele Magnolia was the perfect place for my father in law and I to stay while we visited his family in the area. Great R&R

I met the host, who was very friendly and offered to help if we needed anything. My friend had just learned that she had cancer the week before our stay; she got sick during the first night there and we had to cut our stay short. The home was super cozy nicely furnished and had many extras. We wish we could have experienced more time there.

Cute, Cozy & Comfortable

My daughter & I traveled to the area, to see family and to attend a wedding. Steele Magnolia was the perfect place to stay! It’s a charming cottage, beautifully remodeled & has the most thoughtful personalized extras. It really felt more like our own private bed & breakfast. We were greeted with a sweet handwritten welcome note, along with a delicious, fresh baked loaf of banana bread. The owner was readily available, for any needs, but we didn’t have any. Everything was great! The house was well stocked with any kitchenware you might need (we did not use any, as we were too on the go to cook), as well as plenty of bathroom linens. There were even personal toiletries, if you find yourself in need of those. The beds were very comfortable, which is a big concern when we travel, due to back issues. Each morning I sat on the back porch to have coffee and enjoy the cooler weather & listen to the train in the distance…so relaxing! I will definitely look forward to staying again!

Great outdoor space!

Stayed here while visiting Talladega's superspeedway. About a 50-minute drive to the speedway. Spent a week in AL. This cottage was our third VRBO and a great place to end our vacation. The cottage was as expected - clean, tidy, and very comfortable. Great outdoor space. Spent the majority of our time relaxing on the back porch. Great thrifting in the area (if that's your 'thing'). We had an immediate need upon arrival and the owner was quick to respond - very attentive, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, it is the best place we stayed during our trip.

Just like home

Steele Magnolia is clean,well stocked, & has a warm homey feeling. The host, Shannon, responds quickly to texts, makes delicious banana bread, decorates to complement the current season, & follows up during your stay. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment, Keurig coffee & hot chocolate pods & hot tea bags. This was out 2nd stay.

More than you could hope for!

This cottage is what you hope for when you book a rental! You might not know from the outside, but inside the house has been renovated and refurbished incredibly! There’s so much character - modern amenities wish antique touches! The outdoor space is fun and relaxing with a great side yard for your pup. The host has put an incredible amount of attention to detail to bringing this home to life. Shannon is also extremely kind and wants the best experience for each guest - providing contact information for any needs and checking in when my husband and I checked out a bit early to ensure everything was okay. 12/10 recommend! Absolutely would book again if near Steele!

Family stay for a wedding

Three adult men stayed at the house for two nights. Very pleased with home and owners. Location worked well as it was close to the wedding venue and the Family home. Owner is extremely kind and helpful. Available during later hours for questions after a long wedding day and evening. I would highly recommend this property!

The owner had everything we could need or want on site !!! Forget a toothbrush ? She had it. Need some snacks- she had it! The place was so clean and cute ! Perfect

Steele Magnolia exceeded our expectations. The house has been updated, & was very clean, with a rustic, homey feeling. The décor complemented the age of the home. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to make complete meals. There were plenty of bath towels & other linens. More personal touches that one could imagine. We arrived to a welcoming note with a fresh baked loaf of delicious banana bread & a bowl of chocolate candy plus a fridge with cold bottled water, various carbonated drinks & even some eggs. But for us, the best feature of the house was the screened in back porch, complete with comfortable furniture, TV, & blankets It was so relaxing sitting out there in the evening. The fire pit was ready to go if only the temperature had not been in the 80’s. LOL. We visit our friends in Steele about twice a year & have stayed various places. But, from Here on out, all future stays will be at Steele Magnolia. It felt like we were at home. Thank you for a great experience.
