“I don't think hotels.com distinguishes between rooms with or without a balcony. I reserved a Standard Room and fortunately, I was assigned one of these rooms. The balcony is wonderful, providing a 180-degree view of the town and surrounding hills. Room and facility features and services were as advertised and as expected, consistent with the other HI hostels where I have stayed. “The apartment was large and comfortable. We have to go upstairs, so if you go with an old person tell them to give you one of the apartments without stairs or less as possible. Breakfast was great. ”

“Great location in the old city but hard to find and nearly 60 narrow steps to carry your bags up. Find Uri Buri restaurant and look for a square black sign on the building to the left. Little signs direct you up all the way to the top. The room is lovely and the host has added a number of nice little extras. Our room didn't have a microwave so that must be in the other room as there are only two.”

“Between the sea breeze and the waves, I met a dedicated host at the German hotel. The place was clean and tidy, and right across the street I found a fish restaurant and children jumping into the cold water. Thanks to Mr. Peter and his charming assistant. Highly recommended!”

“I really liked the hotel, the rooms are huge and very nice, the hotel is very clean and generally very pleasant. The breakfast is pretty good. There's also plenty of parking, though can get a bit tough when it's busiest. My only problem with the hotel (though minor) is that there are only 2 small elevators that is not sufficient for the amount of guests that the hotel is designed for. I highly recommend this hotel, had a great stay there.”

For travelers who are religious Jews: the place is pretty Shabbat-worthy--hard key on a carabiener, but be sure to set the clock on the microwave before Shabbat b/c otherwise no clocks in the room. Also no challah to be had in the Old City where this is though I assume in the new city (a drive or cab ride away) you could get it.”
