We were there for fall foliage not skiing. Location was good but the HUGE inconvenience was we arrived to a note (from 2024!) about no water usage for drinking, cooking, coffee, brushing teeth, etc. We were NOT warned of this, yet we were warned by email prior to arriving about construction. The construction was a non issue...the water was an absolute inconvenience and was unacceptable.

Potable water

Overall, satisfied with the property. However, upon arrival one kitchen trash can had not been emptied from prior guests. Also, there was no mention of the water issue on the VRBO listing or the check in information emails. Apparently, the tap water is not safe for consumption. There was no water available in the unit for consumption. We arrived late and did not have access to water. The code for the pool house was also not made available which is where the water was. We needed to know prior to arrival so we could have purchased water. The best option would have been a source of water for usage in the unit, even if just a couple water bottles. Is it even legal to rent a unit with no potable water?

The View

I gave 4 stars because of little things. It would have been nice to have salt and pepper, tea, sugar. The condo had an amazing view. Beds were comfortable.

Very disappointed. EPA warning: Can’t drink the water. Outdated and misrepresented in listing

Unfortunately, the pictures in the posting do not represent the condition of the unit. Very outdated. Blinds in master bedroom were held up by black duct tape. TV in master BR had 1 channel and could only be turned on and off by plugging and unplugging into the wall. Remote did not work. Stains on the bedspreads and most blankets. Reported stains to Vacasa on first day and after 4 days, nothing was done. Vertical blinds in living room were missing many of their pieces (which were propped up in the corner), so you couldn’t have complete privacy. Biggest issue was the EPA warning notice posted on the door (and also a laminated copy inside the unit) when we checked in regarding water contamination. The EPA letter states: “DO NOT DRINK WATER - Do not use water for drinking or cooking, brushing teeth, making ice cubes,making baby formula,washing fruits and vegetables, or any other consumptive use.” The letter stated that the EPA mandate went into effect April 10, 2024. We rented in October. The owners should have made us aware of this (and any other prospective renters) prior to us renting. We definitely would not have rented this unit if we had known. The letter also said that the condo association was providing drinking water. What a joke. You had to drive to the pool area and bring your own containers to fill out of a single office water cooler dispenser. Would not rent in the future

Great location

Location was exactly what we wanted. Beautiful mountain views. Older space, but perfectly comfortable. The only issue we had is that there were no coat hangers.

Great ski getaway

This 2 br and 2 bath condo had lots to offer. Sofas were super comfy. Morning views from the patio were beautiful. Very convenient location just a few miles from the ski slopes and close to downtown Stowe and all of the restaurants.

VT mountainside condo in Stowe

We enjoyed our stay and the great view over the mountains. The condo was clean and has a nice living room and well-appointed kitchen. Dining area is tight with a big table and chairs but workable. There is only one air conditioning unit (it's in the dining room) and the condo was extremely hot when we arrived. Windows are hard to operate but we eventually got some open to cool the bedrooms.

Great location, average condo

The condo's central location to everything in Stowe is a plus, but we ran into a lot of issues we've never experienced when renting previous VRBOs. We weren't informed there is a code to enter the pool area. Once we received it, the pool was "closed" unless we purchased an after hours pass from the office. After searching the property, we realized there is no office on site. The laundry does not take bills or cards. A sign says you can get coins from the nonexistent office. The shared bathroom's shower has little water pressure, which is good since the water runs dangerously hot. The kitchen is stocked with utensils, but there are no basics like salt, pepper, cooking oil, coffee filters, etc. Luckily, there are several markets nearby. The oven started to smoke when we preheated it, so we ended up not using it. The living room and bedrooms are comfortable and quiet. There is wifi, but it doesn't work in the bedrooms or on the porch. A few hours after getting home, my daughter realized she left her retainer on the dresser in her bedroom. I called the management company first thing the next day and was told it will cost me $25 to simply ASK housekeeping if they retrieved it when cleaning!?!? We had a lot of fun in Stowe and will visit again, but we will most likely stay in another VRBO site.

Mauvaise expérience avec Vacasa

Super endroit. super vue sur les montagnes du Vermont. Facile d’accès. Serviettes de bain en quantité. Stationnement près de l’entrée. Piscine ,spa accessible et serviettes fournies. Tranquillité des lieux,près de plusieurs services. Les contres : wifi pas disponible dans toute les pièces, le minimum qui doit être fournit ne les pas ( selon moi et au prix de la location) pas de filtres à café, pas de linge de table,linge à vaisselle, seulement deux savon pour le lave vaisselle. Pas de mouchoirs. Pas de minimum d’épice. Seulement sel et poivre probablement laissé sur place par un autre locataire. Après avoir demandé plus d’informations ils me disent qu’ils fournissent le minimum et c’est a nous de fournir le restes si besoin. Désolé quand nous louons un logement de se type ont espère avoir plus de commodité et ne pas,devoir tout acheter ( je précise que nous voyageons en moto). La propreté a l’intérieur laisse à désirer. Miroir sale, serviettes sale dans un garde robe,porte de garde robe qui ne ferme pas. Tapis pas très propre. Logement vieillot qui a besoin de rénovation. Nous avons fait trois location de se type depuis juin( AIRBNB ,VRBO) dont deux avec le gestionnaire VACASA et les deux fois se n’était pas propre ou il manquait beaucoup de choses pour le prix payé. Pour nous c’est terminé les locations avec Vacasa. Nous lourons seulement avec des propriétaires privés.

Great lodge and good space

We will be back to enjoy this cozy lodge. Everything was near by and things were as they are listed. We were happy. One thing to note is that it was very hard to get in touch with the host since it's not really a host it's another company like VRBO (Vacasa) and had to message them / go online chat etc and they messaged 24 hours later saying we were very busy. Other than that it was great.

Great Location

The property worked well for us as a family of 3 and we would stay here again. The deck was great along with the location. Summer was hot and the AC didn't quite do enough. Otherwise we would recommend.

Clea, spacious, convenient condo

I felt that the condo was everything I needed. The only thing that surprised me and I truly missed was having no cable especially with Olympics on. That was truly a negative.
