“Wow what an amazing experience we had at East twin cottage carmichael, the property is a little dated but very clean and in an amazing location. We had deer field for our back garden and we even witnessed a deer give birth just meters away from us on quite morning! They people who run the business are so friendly and helpful. “First and foremost, the host Beth exceeded our expectations! She was so great about communicating with us and responding to my questions. Checkin was great. Liss greeted us and provided the keys as well as some tips on restaurants, groceries etc. The apartment was wonderful. Plenty of space for the four adults in our group. Having a second bathroom was a huge plus. Bedrooms on the lower floor, with a spacious well lit open concept living room, dining and kitchen space. We walked everywhere....

“The property was filthy. We reported the issues whilst we were there, and were advised to put it onto a feedback form when we left. We did this and have had no acknowledgement whatsoever. Nothing was done to rectify the issues during our stay either. The first night I arrived, I went to climb into bed and found that there was mud and grass on the sheet when i lifted the duvet. We ended up buying our own bedding the next day. Everything stank, especially when the heating came on, there was a...

“Property was spotless, beds comfortable, Wi-Fi very good, kitchen well equipped, though none of the odds and end like salt and pepper often found in a self catering place so take absolutely everything you need with you. Perfect wee village- pub excellent with a limited choice of pretty good pub grub and less than a 100yard stagger away! Lovely walks on the doorstep and beautiful scenery, and sheep.”

“This property is very conveniently located between Edinburgh, Glasgow, and other places of interest. The nearest train station is literally 8 minutes down the road. Also, you will never find a cleaner house with a more hospitable host. Irene is welcoming, helpful and joyful as she helps you settle in. We loved the country setting, as it was peaceful and quiet. No hussle and bustle here! And plenty of space to park. Just perfect!”

"I was only there for one night in transit. The hotel was fine, I had had a fall on the way there and the reception desk provided plasters for which I was grateful, the kettle in my room was defective and they provided a replacement very promptly. The bed was comfortable which is of course also very important."
