“we did not stay at the Bear Inn. We arrived there and there were no rooms available. Three other couples had arrived with the same result. The owner does not have an account with hotels.com, and the picture on the email shows the Bear Inn room as it was when the current owner took over some time back.This is a scam and we have spent a considerable amount of time getting our money back with a derisory offer of £10 for our trouble.”

“The Bell is a beautiful old building and our room was very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. The view from the room was amazing. Access was through a separate door to the pub, so we didn't have to be back before the pub closed and could access the room any time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakasts were delicious and lots of choice on the menu. Lovely pub dog too! We would definitely stay here again.”

“Nice building from the outside. Dining and bar area full of character. Outside area renovated. But inside is severely behind the times and it shows throughout. Very dated.”

“The hotel is beautiful and in a great location with a lot of shops and restaurants close by. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We stayed in a room on the top floor of the mill, it was a picturesque room, it was a bit hot at night but they had a ventilator to cool it down. The food at the restaurant was amazing! Great chef, delicious breakfast and dinners. ”
