Chalet del condado de la puerta en la orilla

Nuestra casa está ubicada en una pintoresca parte de la costa del condado de Door. A pocos pasos de las aguas de Sturgeon Bay, su ubicación es muy privada, pero conveniente para la ciudad. El Chalet fue construido por mi suegro, quien pasó su vida trabajando como constructor naval en Sturgeon Bay. Gran parte de la estructura está construida con madera de barcos que datan de la construcción de barredoras de minas durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Hemos trabajado duro para intentar actualizar la casa sin perder su verdadera singularidad.

El chalet alberga 3 dormitorios y 2 baños. Con su estructura distintiva, los techos de la catedral presentan un concepto abierto de sala de estar / comedor, además de una cocina recientemente remodelada con electrodomésticos renovados.
Capitains Quarters: el loft de arriba, que incluye un balcón, proporciona al maestro una cama king y baño privado. El balcón agrega dormir adicional con un futón.
En la planta principal hay 2 dormitorios y un baño completo compartido.
Camarote de Queens: tiene una cama adecuada para una reina. Aquí también se proporciona un nuevo Pack & Play para familias.
Cuartos de la tripulación: se suministran con 4 camas individuales (1 litera y 1 cama nido), para acomodar huéspedes adicionales. Además del riel para niños de una de las camas gemelas. Las instalaciones de lavandería de tamaño completo están escondidas en el armario de esta habitación.
También un nuevo sofá cama Queen está ubicado en la sala de estar en el piso principal.

Desde el gran patio del Chalet podrá disfrutar del sol de la mañana que se eleva desde el este y las noches cautivadores colores que iluminan la bahía circundante. Esperamos que disfrute de su entorno escondido único y piense que le encantará el encanto de nuestro refugio costero.

Wonderful stay!

The Chalet by the Lake did not disappoint. It's as pictured, very clean, and in a wonderful location. The view is awesome. Our hosts were wonderful - great communication. They made our stay easy. Would highly recommend!

Great time in Door County

We had a wonderful stay at the Chalet on the lake. The host thought of everything! The Chalet was perfect for our family and friends. There were great view and easy access to all the Door County offers. We will definitely be staying here again!

Great Door County Family Vacation

After 32 years, my husband and I returned to Door County with my son's family for a week of family fun. The Chalet on the Shore was the perfect home for all of us. With young children from 1-8, there were activities available for all, from playing yard games to fishing off the dock and kayaking. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating and we look forward to making this a new annual family tradition.

Fabulous Stay - the vacation home on the shore with everything, great location, excellent hosts

We loved our stay at the Chalet on the Shore. Jennifer & Brian have made this vacation home away from home perfect. It is stocked with everything - bikes, kayaks, row boat, fishing gear, marshmallow sticks, guidebooks, info, locale-specific amenities - amazing! The loving care and detail put into this place makes it a unique and special place to stay. From its history, built by Brian's father, who was a shipbuilder, to the purposeful renovation and Jennifer's special touches in all of the little design & fun details, everything available you might need or even just instructions on how to find or operate stuff; all taken care of in a beautiful, private, safe, clean place. My husband and I work hard and travel a bit so our stay was a needed break for 6 days. We looked through 100s(!) of properties for the right Midwest, Northeast, or Southeast cottage, cabin, or small house that would provide both respite and enough activities/mild adventures in a location that wasn't too far from a major airport. The location was perfect, about 54 minutes from Green Bay's airport, located 8-10 minutes from Sturgeon Bay's restaurants/shops, and part of Door County. We visited many of the national parks and drove quite a bit of the county. The restaurants were great, the people were nice, the weather was a little cold, but warming up. My husband did his HAM radio on property and participate in Parks On The Air and I was able to paint & draw. We will be back! Mahalo, Jennifer & Brian!

First time Door County-ers

Loved the location. Right on the water at the end of dead end. Dogs could roam freely and enjoy the water at their will. Easy access to the downtown of Sturgeon Bay. Easy day trips to anywhere in Door County. Very clean and well kept home.

A Slice of Paradise

What makes the Chalet truly special are all the little touches and details. This is a warm home with breathtaking views. Everything to make a house a home you will find here. This is a family home that deserves all the memories you can share with it. Jennie is awesome. A truly special find that deserves the respect from all who visit.

Much needed relaxing getaway

The chalet was very clean and so well appointed. We felt very safe and walked our dog all over the neighborhood. Since the snow had mostly melted, we scrapped our cross country ski plans and explored the area's lighthouses, and great hiking trails. We thought we had a furnace issue which turned out to be nothing, but Jennie was super responsive and made our comfort her top priority. We used the fire pit to celebrate the incoming of 2023, and we saw a 1,000 foot freighter cruise right past the chalet on New Year's Day - that was a bonus!

Perfect Getaway!

Our family stayed here during our teenager’s fall break. The chalet was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. The chalet is stocked with tons of activities for both indoor and outdoor use. I spoke to Jennie a few times and she gave us great ideas for things to do in the area.

The perfect Fall getaway!

This is our second time staying at the Chalet and we will definitely be back! There isn’t a better rental to make family memories. The view from inside and out is spectacular. It is warm and cozy and you instantly feel at home. The owner is the easiest person to work with that I’ve met on VRBO. She genuinely cares if you’re enjoying your stay and checks in often to be sure everything is ok! She even left us a welcome note and treats from Door County that we all enjoyed. Despite some cold and some rain we enjoyed everything we could in Door County. The walks, bonfires, wineries, breweries, great shopping and restaurants, all made this a trip to remember! Thank you so much for sharing this special place with us!!

Cozy and charming chalet

This sweet chalet by the water provided a relaxing getaway while being convenient to Door County for day drives. The stay provided all the amenities one would wish for, from a cozy fireplace indoors to kayaks and bikes and a hammock. We enjoyed fishing off the dock with the poles provided. Everything was sparkling clean and the owners were responsive and engaged. There are so many places to hike/walk just a stone's throw away. We would most definitely love to come back!

Comfortable and private with a beautiful view of the Bay

We drove up to the Chalet, backed the boat into the private drive and we were at home. The home was beautifully decorated for the fall season, clean and inviting. We were greeted with a welcoming note from the owners along with gift basket. The fishing was great !! We caught 40 northern pike and 2 -4 lb small mouth, 1- 5 lb salmon , in 4 days just in case you are a fisherman. The beds were comfortable.. The area was very quiet. Kitchen was fulling stocked . We had breakfast everyday looking over the bay. Our trip was perfect! I would book this chalet again and again . Thank you Jennie . It was a pleasure .

Great location, beautiful views, not for swimming though

Fun At The Chalet in Sturgeon Bay

We spent the first week of July at the Chalet and had a wonderful time. We were a group of three generations and two dogs and there was something for all of us. I can't talk enough about the warmth and charm of the home. You could see that it was decorated and maintained with love and pride. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the views and the weather. Even the yard had lovely flower containers all around to give the chalet an extra homey touch. Jennie was an extremely responsive host and any questions were responded to within a very short amount of time. There were plenty of instructions left for how to work everything in the house. I really appreciated that as we have been in other rental properties where we were left to figure most things out on our own, so I appreciated the explicit instructions for things like TV, lights, heating and AC etc. The accommodations were comfortable and there were plenty of dishes, glasses and silverware on hand. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend the Chalet to anyone we know who might be visiting the area. Gail
