The house and setting was beautiful. As it was on the water, we were expecting to spend a majority of our time playing in the lake. Worth noting this is on a bluff several steps down to the water meaning you need to carry kayaks up and down a lot of steps, which we did, but not sure average vacationer could manage. There is a rock ledge at water level and a dock, but rocks were slick, no beach, no ladder to climb in and out of water. Pretty to sit and enjoy, but not ideal for playing in the water. Lots of boat traffic very near to dock making water rough and not relaxing, certainly not kid friendly. For all the lake toys offered, we expected to use them at the property. We're lake people so we got along ok, but not sure the average vacationer would feel the same. There were lots of bikes and life jackets, along with yard toys and a great fire ring. The house was spacious with fully stocked kitchen. We might suggest clearing some space in the kitchen cabinets and bedroom closets for guests. The closets were full of owner's boxes, etc, and didn't have bars for hanging clothes or even room to put a suitcase. Also nice to have rugs in basement bedrooms, perhaps a mirror too - seemed bedrooms were lacking many basic bedroom creature comforts. Overall a great stay and would recommend.
