“We loved the staff and hospitality at Momijiya. My husband said it felt like we were staying at our grandma's house. We loved the ryokan experience as well. We really felt we were getting a more intimate Japanese experience. The food really put us Americans out of our comfort zone, but we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. “It was a very traditional Japanese experience, the futon were incredibly comfy, the space was perfect for us 3, the staff was kind, and the area quiet and soothing. Just beware that the staff doesn't speak much English, so it is recommended to come prepared with some Japanese sentences”

“The room was very big with a beautiful view of the forest. There was a nice wooden bath in the room and a very large communal bath. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, but there is only Japanese food and green tea, so if you want something else you should take it with you. All in all it was a wonderful ryokan experience at a very reasonable price. ”
