“Charming old house in downtown Birmingham.”

“My family stayed here for the wrrk of the SEC baseball tournament and it was perfect with a 5 and 2 year old. Enough space for us and my FIL. Everything was clean, comfortable and all the basics of a home were provided. Would stay here again if we are ever in the area again.”

“Horrible place to stay! One smoke detector in the whole house that didn’t work. Host stopped communicating with me when I mentioned the issue. The house was also very dirty and needs a deep clean. Not sure why it has good reviews. Also not sure why they charge a 75.00 cleaning fee when we are responsible for washing linens and taking out garbage.”

“The house was clean and very cozy. Tight quarters in the bedrooms for suitcases but we made it work. Kitchen stocked well, but we did have to call for trash bags and dishwasher detergent. We had a short visit but there were none available at all. They did deliver promptly when called. Only other complaint was we arrived about 30 minutes early after a long drive from Louisiana. “Host was fast at replying to messaging and concerns and friendly. The house needs a lot of remodeling. There is paint peeling, bathroom fixtures were corroded and the toilet did not work well. A few of our grandkids were bitten by fire ants in the back yard/patio area. Price was steep considering the condition of the home. No rugs on the floors which were pictured in ad. This made the house feel cold or unwelcoming.”

“Very disappointed. The area was very run down and we were uncomfortable about the area. All surrounding houses were unkept and deteriorating. Inside of property was ok. But very old. Creaky floors so bad and scratchy furniture uncomfortable to sit on especially down stairs. Didn’t feel clean. The floor vent in hall was caked with dust.
