“We enjoyed the large deck and amazing view of the lake. The birds and wind were the only noises we heard except the short time the generator ran (back up for the solar power) which was understandable because it was cloudy the entire 4 days. The house was cozy and just the right size. The multiple windows made enjoying the lake view and distant storms wonderful. I would have liked to have had blinds or curtains in the bedroom to use if desired while trying to sleep. The owner was very responsive...

“I was expecting to use the pool but it was closed and super dirty. ”

“No thanks to Expedia, our stay was great. Expedia dropped the ball AGAIN and booked us rooms that weren’t available. We got notified the day of arrival that our room was cancelled. I called the property and they found a way to fit us in but told us that they had notified Expedia over a month ago that half of the property rooms were unavailable, which Expedia never updated on their website. Thankfully, the staff at The New Hotchatown Lodge were amazing and super helpful and everything worked out....
