“Quiet neighborhood just down from the business district. The Congo room is akin to an efficiency hotel room. I enjoyed my stay, the room was comfortable. When I asked how late of a check-out I could arrange before going to a wedding at 6 PM, they said stay as late as I want as the room is not reserved after I leave. Won't get that kind of treatment at any chain hotel!”

The owners extended gracious southern hospitality and shared history of the house and their work in restoring the it from its dilapidated state to its present beauty and charm. For us it was very convenient and restful as we were in town for a baby shower of a friend the next morning. ”

“La experiencia fue buenisima. Las habitaciones limpias, camas comodas, todo en muy buen estado. Todo el personal muy agradable y servicial. El desayuno variado y abundante, el comer amplio y el personal que atiende sumamente simpatico y dispuesto a asistir a los huespedes. Manteniendo siempre limpia y arreglada el area. Ma tienen un area de cafe, chocolate y té, dispinible las 24 horas del dia para uso de los huespedes.”

“The Hotel is beautiful. So many little bits of history collected makes an interesting stay. Two issues. Sold out weekend and the main restaurant Rosemary and Thyme was closed for breakfast on Saturday. The pub didn’t open till 10am and The Little Brothers Cafe n Bistro never opened. Also room AC was not working and no alternate rooms available. ”

“The bedroom and bathroom were in very good shape and comfortable. My only complaint was with the free breakfast = mostly junk food (twinkies, etc.) and room for only 4 people.”

“The employees were great. We had a problem with no tv remote which we picked up at the front desk. The tv would not work with the remote nor manually. Continental breakfast needs to be replaced with real breakfast!”
