“We had a very nice stay at the Historic Cary House Hotel. The check in was smooth and the gal could not have been more lovely. I regret not learning her name to give her credit for making the stay perfect. She was very friendly and gave lots of good advice on places to eat. “The front desk gentleman was fantastic. Got a room on the 2nd floor which is on the south side of the property and is level with the parking lot. We are on a 2 week camping trip and it was great to be able to park near the room. However the hotel is right on the highway and gets pretty noisy. Also there are a lot of people outside all hours of the night. Now we didnt have any issues but from a safety standpoint it concerned us. “Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere every time I visit Rest. The wine hour and breakfast are great. We always eat at Taste which is excellent. The immediate area is historic and closed down. It’s a great place to stay after a day of wine tasting and exploring the historical towns nearby. ”
