Amazing, peacful
We had a lovely time, the girls were great, and made a beautiful cheese platter. The wine was exceptional. This was our second time, will definatly book again.

Perfect for couples to enjoy the Hunter Valley
Wollombi is lovely rural location, with essential pub and general store. Howell's cottage is set in a winery that offers tastings and our cottage allowed us to enjoy sounds of nature. We had another cottage near us but hear no noise and apart from seeing smoke from wood fire would not have known anyone else was around. Cottage has all you need, wood supplied for fire with an air conditioner as well. Supplies of eggs, bacon, tomatoes, butter and bread are left so you cook your own breakfast when it suits you. With so many choices to eat out, you may not need to do any other cooking. We found the pub great for pizza or a burger, with more upmarket eating choices in nearby towns. Circa 1836 at Pokolbin offers fine dining and worth a visit for a special occasion. Cedar Creek cottages provide a good base to visit the Hunter Valley. We were fortunate to stay prior to floods arriving again. Very sad to see the pub and surrounds are once again flooded so the hospitality trade needs tourists to visit and help them recover

DO NOT GET TRAPPED!! They are the rudest most hateful people. Who use the excuse "its private property " to avoid all accountability and government regulations and laws. They will take your money and not refund ever. Read the fine print and other reviews. The WORST.

Lovely cabins
Very cute well located cottages, management called ahead of time to advise only one bed was available and I appreciate the call. Room was a bit cold but comfortable. Gorgeous view overlooking vineyards.

If services are better then it’s an awesome retrea
- Complimentary wine was sweet like honey - Instead of cheese , there was butter - No matches for fireplace - long life milk was available, when I went all the way to owners home, he was surprised as he said we always keep fresh milk. He was kind enough to offer me a bottle. I will not go there again.

Great place, relaxing, beautiful surroundings. The feeling of being extremely remote being on the property. No wifi or phone reception let us as a family relax without technology!

Misleading descriptions
Room description included a spa, and cooked breakfast. Not great value when you turn up and find out the breakfast is cooked by you, and there is no soa. Really nice little getaway, just not worth the price, given the specifics.

Hi Joshua, It is unfortunate that the description on Expedia is not correct with regards to the spa, we will have that amended. With regards to the Breakfast, it dos not say "cooked". It says breakfast is provided. Third party sites are always inflexible with certain descriptions and it is best to check out direct websites. It is disappointing that you were not fully satisfied!

We had a lovely and peaceful stay at Ceder Creek. The individual cottages are free standing and overlook the vineyard. Staff were very friendly. The included breakfast hamper was waiting in the fridge, ready to be cooked (eggs, bacon, backed beans, tomato, bread, orange juice, milk). There was complementary port to sample and other wines from the vineyard available in the room to purchase (at a discount to the cellar door). Note: no phone reception or wifi in the cottage, a nice way to switch off!

Great place to unwind
Beautiful area with great cabins. Loved the fireplace, the spa bath and the included breakfast! Sometimes you don't realise how great it is to disconnect until you're forced to - there really is no reception here! Wifi at the cellar door though if needed. Loved our stay!

Lovely view Very outdated, couldn’t watch the tv as it is too big for the nook it is placed in. Loads of dust under the bed Decapitated ourselves on the rangehood and my partner is only 5’5” Didn’t consider it very good value for money

Rustic cottage with heritage details
Very nice cottage in a nice corner of Hunter Valley... good for travelers that are looking for a rustic experience in a heritage area of the Hunter Valley. Cottage overlooks vineyards of a working farm. Very quiet location, with ample space to walk around and explore.

Rustic cosy cottage. Private deck over looking the vineyards. Breakfast provisions are generous and even the fire is laid - you just need to strike a match! Highly recommended.

Two nights on the peaceful Cedar Creek Cottage !!
We had a lovely time at the gardeners cottage, beautiful view in front of the vineyards, quite and peaceful! The cottage is very cosy and comfortable, we would love to stay here again soon.

Cabin on a hillside
We drove past the resident mob of furry wallaroos and ducks on the dam each evening to our quiet secluded one-room cabin on a hillside overlooking bushland, vinyards and distant tree-covered hills. After lighting the slow-combustion stove we lazed around in the warmth with our cheese platter and excellent Stonehurst wine. It just doesn't get better than this!

Great old world cabin.
Loved the comforts of this cabin. So cosy with the welcoming cheese platter, bottle of wine and wood to burn on the fire. The kids loved a visit from Seamus the black labrador in the morning. This was a return visit and would highly recommend these cottages for accomodation and would gladly return again.

Very romantic and isolated cottage. Great exeprience away from technology due to no phone reception and no wifi. Very friendly staff and amazing nature to wake up to.
