Our apartment is located in the epicenter of fashionable Potts Point, which has been likened to New York’s SoHo. This vibrant suburb is alive with cool restaurants, cafes, bars, hip boutiques, creative bookshops and galleries. Potts Point is within walking distance of the CBD, Sydney Harbour, The Opera House, The Botanic Gardens and many other fine art galleries and museums.

The apartment is light & bright, with airy crossflow and windows in every room. The living room has a powerful air conditioner that cools the entire apartment, it's perfect for summer!
In the master bedroom, overlooking Springfield Park, you have a quality queen sized bed, fitted with luxurious linen, perfect for a good nights sleep! You have beautiful floor to ceiling glass doors that allow you to bring the outside in! There is a large wardrobe, perfect for the executive traveller or family. There is also a ceiling fan installed to help with those hot summer nights, and allow perfect cross ventilation.
The kitchen is fully equipped if you wish to cook, or step outside the front door to some of the best dining and bars Sydney has to offer. For breakfast, we would highly recommend "Room 10" which is 3 buildings up, and on the left of the ally way. If you head down to Rushcutters Bay Park (5 minute walk) - Black Bay Cafe on the corner is fabulous and done great breakfast specials.
The bathroom is modern and well equipped. We will provide you with towels, bathmats, hand towels and organic natural products for your stay (Organic Care brand).
You are next to the best Potts Point and Sydney has to offer! Live amid café culture, dining, bars & village shopping. Close to the Harbour, Opera House and an easy 15 min walk to the city centre, you cannot find a better location.
The apartment is situated in an art deco building on the second floor and does not have a lift. The open plan space is equipped with a smart TV, WiFi, and Nespresso coffee machine. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay in Sydney.
Street parking is limited (1 hour free) and/or ticketed but you are walks away from major transport. Kings Cross Station is only 300 metres away - this will get you to almost anywhere you could possibly want to go in Sydney!
You are only a 10 minute walk to the Sydney CBD, 10 minutes to Oxford Street by walk and 300 metres from Kings Cross Station. If you cannot be bothered with public transport, Ubers are frequent as you are in the heart of Sydney!
HOUSE RULES: *Check-in: After 3:00 pm *Checkout: 10:00 am *No smoking *No pets allowed *No parties or events
ADDITIONAL HOUSE RULES: *As per the Short Term Legislation Act 2020 NSW, all guests are required to obey these rules. For extra guests/day visitors, we must be informed for liability purposes.
*To comply with local regulations, all guests are kindly asked to review and accept our booking Terms and Conditions in the Pre-arrival check-in form. For everyone’s security and peace of mind, we also require a valid ID and card details for a temporary pre-authorisation, which is held as a security deposit for the duration of your stay.
*This is a no-party property. We do not allow parties/events of any sort. The maximum amount of guests allowed to sleep in this property is FOUR people, however, we do allow day visitors of up to TWO people. No more than a maximum of SIX people are allowed in the property at any given time.
*Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission.
*This home is a strictly no-smoking property. If any of our cleaners find any form of cigarette ash, butts or smell cigarettes in the apartment, we could issue a $500 fine.
*This is a domestic residence and we love our neighbours. We do not allow loitering out the front of the building or in the common areas. Please respect our home and neighbours. We ask for minimal noise in the common areas, especially after 9 pm.
*STRA Rules - By booking this home you automatically agree to all the STRA terms and conditions that are applicable to guests. You also agree that if you do break any of the house rules you will be asked to leave and no refund of the unused nightly rates will be returned.
*Check-in/Check-out - We cannot stress enough the importance of checking out on time. Our regular check-in time is after 3 pm and check-out time is before to 10 am. If you wish to have an earlier check-in or later check-out, please reach out to us first. Please note, there may be a charge.
*Changing of Dates Terms & Conditions - Requests to change booking dates may only be accommodated if check-in is more than 1 month away. - This is subject to approval and we reserve the right to decline any requests. - Please note that there may be a surcharge to change the dates. - Any changes to bookings are subject to approval and we ask all guests to reach out to us first.
THINGS TO KNOW:
*Parking - We have a parking spot located in Earl Place, Springfield Avenue. You can rent this out for $20 a day. Please let us know before your arrival if you need a parking spot. There should also be no vehicle higher than a land cruiser.
*This apartment is kid and infant friendly and we provide a travel cot, however we do not provide the linen. The cot is in the bedroom cabinet for you to set up. We do not have a highchair.
*Checkin details will be sent either the night before checking in, or the morning of check-in for security reasons.
*The keys are picked up from our partner concierge which is about a 5 minute walk from the home.
* Should you need the 2 single beds to be converted into 1 double, please let us know upon booking so we can organise this for you!
*You are booking an apartment in the middle of the City’s vibrant nightlife with a colourful community that is buzzing with music and social gatherings. You are a 3-minute walk to Kings Cross train station, one one-minute walk to some amazing bars and restaurants, as well as being located next door to a backpacker hostel. There may be some outside noise from neighbouring buildings, shops or restaurants.
*There are cameras in the foyer of the building, but not inside the home. This is normal for Sydney apartments and is for the safety of the residents as well as guests! Rest assured, it will not have any affect on your privacy!
* We only provide 1 set of keys for each stay. We do not have extra sets.
*Street improvement works on Springfield Lane and Earl Street will begin on first week of May 2025 and will run for about 3 months (Mon–Sat, daytime hours). Expect some machinery noise, temporary parking restrictions, and minor changes to pedestrian access.
*Please note that our unit is on the second floor and there is no elevator in this building.

Wonderful stay in middle Kings Cross
Beautiful Appartment in in the middle of Kings Cross, a lively area in Sydney. Appartment is well decorated and got everything you need. Good space for family of 4. Supermarket, stores, pubs, metro etc in couple of minutes distance. Walking to Centre or Harbour in 30/40 min. Beautiful stay!

Great location with easy access to tourist sites, lovely restaurants and cafes around the corner. Darlinghurst Rd is a little seedy but everywhere else was nice.

Potts Point Art Deco Gem
Great stay in Potts Point area around the corner (literally!) from great restaurants, coffee shops, and public transit. Apartment was perfect for a family with 2 kids with separate twin beds. Highly recommend!

Great Vacation Stay
We recently stayed for 9 nights at this flat in Potts Point and it was fantastic! The location was great, with lots of dining options half a block away and close proximity to mass transit (train, bus) at Kings Cross station. The Getawayz staff responded to all inquiries very promptly which was greatly appreciated (simple requests for additional towels, etc...). I would stay here again without question and would recommend to all my friends!

A very convoluted booking and check in process that could have easily been a single email with a map. Great location in relation to restaurants, bars, public transport. Great beds. The bathroom was more a powder room with a shower. Tiny little room with tiles that need cleaning and a shower that drains toward the toilet and soaks the floor. We wanted to love this place but unfortunately had a terrible experience. The primary reason for this was the backpackers hostel next door. The partying started at noon and went until 3-5am each of the 4 nights we were there. The communal smoking area is right beneath the master bedroom. The hostel rooms open up directly opposite the 2nd bedroom. You can hear people breathing from bed.We had weed and cigarette smoke wafting into the place. Screaming, fighting, bottles broken, guitars along with people talking all night until dawn. There doesn’t seem to be any active management of the backpackers. People just doing whatever. Probably 365 days a year. We notified Getaway NSW after the 2nd night of this but no action. If you have kids or are looking for peace and quiet I suggest looking elsewhere. If you are looking for a party and meeting new people then by all means book this place. I would have loved it in my travelling days.
