Sunflower Cottage - between Katoomba and Leura

  • Sunflower cottage is a pet-friendly 3-bedroom holiday house. It is located in South Katoomba, between Katoomba and Leura, two of the most popular towns in the Blue Mountains area.
    There is a large veranda at the front with a great view into the valley and out the back is an enormous yard. Off-street parking for several cars. It has one full bathroom and an additional toilet.
    Well-behaved pets are welcome with no extra fee. Please be aware though, there is no enclosed yard. Your pets can stay inside the house but please keep them away from the bedrooms.

The house was clean and in good condition. The only issue was that for four people there was only one small three-seater couch, and the rest of the seating was uncomfortable chairs. I would recommend adding a more comfortable and larger sofa to better accommodate groups of more than four guests.

Sunflower Cottage was the perfect getaway! From the moment we arrived, we felt instantly relaxed. The cottage is beautifully presented and cozy. The highlight for us was the spa bath and fireplace – the perfect combination for unwinding after a long day. The fireplace created such a warm atmosphere, while the spa bath was pure luxury. The location is peaceful and quiet, yet still close to everything we needed. If you’re looking for a place to relax, recharge, and enjoy a bit of indulgence, Sunflower Cottage is ideal.

Lovely comfortable property

We loved staying in this cottage. Walking is not for the faint hearted as the roads are very steep but it is a very pretty location. The cottage was clean and well equipped with comfortable beds.

Short holiday

We had a fabulous time at sunflower cottage. The house was spacious and the rooms were very comfortable! The central heating kept us nice and warm and the house was in a good location and it was easy to drive and navigate around from the cottage.

Great House in a Central Location

Property was well set up, clean and central to Leura and Katoomba. My family were very comfortable! The check in instructions were clear and hassle free, neighbourhood was quiet and we enjoyed our stay.

Nice warm house with fireplace

I loved the house as it kept the wind and rain out. The local cockatiels were so fun to watch. Glad we had a car. The hills were huge and we would not have seen much of the town. Great hikes on the day we got sun.

Very well appointed. Beds were super comfortable. Great location between Leura and Katoomba. Would have liked some wood for fireplace and/or directions to source some but other heating was more than adequate…very cosy.

nice cottage in Leura

We stayed at Sunshine cottage for a family weekend in Oct. The house is clean and perfectly functional, and made for an easy weekend. The location is good being a couple of minutes from Leura main street or then 5 mins into Katoomba.
