Mr. Weatherington's Lake Cottage

  • Mr. Weatherington's Lake Cottage is a centrally located four bedroom cottage located in Sylvan Lake, with room for up to 12 people. Only a short two-minute walk to the beach and lakeshore amenities, this cozy home is great for family and friends. A spacious backyard with a gazebo, couches, and fire pit, as well as a beautifully, fully-renovated interior, this place is sure to please! And we have foosball!

    There are two security cameras on the property. One at the front of the house watching the front door/yard and one on the back of the garage watching the parking pad.

We had a great stay at this property. Chris was easy to get ahold of and very flexible with us as we ended up having to bring our dog last minute. Overall we had an excellent time and it had all the essentials we required. It was a well loved house and wasn’t the cleanest on arrival, but we have kids and a dog so it worked well for us. Thanks for an awesome time!

Great home and location for the family.

Stayed here during the new year and went skiing in Red Deer. It was a quick drive to the hill which was nice but located in a beautiful town.

Good location, nice place

Good location and good place for our quick 2 night trip in town for a wedding. Group of 4, worked well with one couple upstairs and one down stairs.

Clean and well appointed. Pet friendly with fenced yard. Host was very responsive. Stayed in October so couldn't take advantage off all amenities but is in a good location one block away from the lake and would stay again.

Booking was easy as was the ability to have a pet. The property was neat and tidy outside and generally clean and well kept inside. Communications with host efficient and welcoming. No issues during the stay.

WONDERFUL!

This is our second time staying at this cottage. This cozy cottage has everything that you require and is only maybe a block from the beach. We also really appreciate the relaxing backyard after a day at the beach. As we always enjoy our stay we will be definitely booking a third stay for next year.

Home away from Home

The home is cozy and clean. The location is perfect. It’s so close to the lake. The kitchen is well equipped. We give it a 5 star rating.

Cabin review

Nice place, clean and cozy, lots of bed space. Nice kitchen, showers are hot and have good pressure. Walking distance to the lake and convenience stores, also some good restaurants nearby. Only negative thing IMO would be the lack of a bbq.

The home is smaller that it appears in the VRBO listing. The bathrooms seemed clean, but the rest of home was not very clean. There was dust in the corners, spider webs and ants at the back entrance. The home has been well used since the VRBO photos were taken, and it could use some painting and TLC. The yard was weedy and has not been cleaned up since last fall.

Enjoyable stay in a sweet little house.

We had a short family reunion in Mr. Weatherington’s Lake Cottage and it suited our needs just fine. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Although it was a bit small for our group of 6 adults and 4 kids, the weather was fine so we made good use of the outdoor space. It was a short walk to the beach, shopping and restaurants.

Clean place in a great location

We have nothing but good things to say about our stay here. The only downside is that 50th Ave is quite busy so traffic can be noisy at night.

Family Christmas Get Together

Great place for our family Christmas get together. Four adults and four kids(ranging from 7 to 3 1/2 years old) were accommodated nicely with the bunk beds being a huge hit. The place was nice and clean with everything you need.We finished the trip off by sitting around the fire pit enjoying the beautiful December night. Thanks Chris for sharing your place with us.

Excellent Location

Our family really enjoyed our stay in Sylvan Lake. The house was very conveniently located to all that Sylvan Lake had to offer. We found the house to be very clean and tidy. Space was well used and we were very comfortable. We did find that at meal time it seemed a little small for us. Thanks Chris for a great stay.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Girls weekend with my friends; the 4 of us hadn’t all been together for 10 Years!! We had an absolute blast! The house was perfect, we each had a bedroom and the 2nd bathroom was a bonus. We appreciated the cleanliness of the home, that’s how we all like it!

Great location

Enjoyed our stay here, could easily walk along the boardwalk and would be at the beach within 10-15min. Had everything we needed, though some may not find the beds/pillows the most comfortable. Hot water, clean space, lots of parking available on the street. Instructions were very clear - would only suggest making the parking in the back with the house number clearly posted to see at night. Would stay here again.the future
