Ancient Market of Ortigia Lovely Apartment

A cozy 70-square-meter apartment that can accommodate up to 2 people, located on the first floor of a building in the historic center of Syracuse. The apartment is on the island of Ortigia, just a short walk from the market, the Temple of Apollo, and many other points of interest. Free street parking is available, or paid parking is available at the Talete Parking Lot, a 4-minute walk from the property.

The accommodations are spread over two levels connected by stairs (please be careful if traveling with children).

The interior layout is as follows:

-> LOWER LEVEL
- LIVING ROOM with dining table, 43" TV, and split A/C;
- KITCHEN with induction cooktop, refrigerator, kettle, kitchen utensils, and wine glasses;
- BATHROOM with shower, sink, and toilet.

-> UPPER LEVEL
- BEDROOM with double bed, clothes rack, and split A/C.

ADDITIONAL AMENITIES AVAILABLE TO GUESTS: unlimited Wi-Fi, split-system air conditioning and heating (one unit in the living room and one in the bedroom), hair dryer, clothesline, safe, iron, and ironing board.

PLEASE NOTE: There is no door to the bedroom.
Please note there is a small step at the entrance to the apartment.

The island of Ortigia is located in a restricted traffic zone (days and hours of closure vary depending on the season).

The entire apartment is for the exclusive use of guests during their stay, and there are no shared spaces with the host or other tenants.

7 days before arrival, you will receive instructions on how to register your documents via our Guest Portal and pay the tourist tax (4% of the cost of the stay, up to a maximum of €5.00 per person per night, for up to 7 consecutive nights).
We need this procedure to verify your information and documents and to send the information to the “Alloggiati Web” police service, which is the Italian procedure for registering guests staying in Italy.

. Turning the air conditioning and heating on and off is subject to compliance with current Italian regulations (Presidential Decree No. 74 of April 16, 2013, and Ministerial Decree No. 383 of 6.10.2022).
Estat: the average air temperature must not be lower than 26°C for all types of buildings.
Winter: the weighted average air temperature must not exceed 19°C. The period during which these systems may be operated and the daily operating duration depend on the climate zone defined by the regulations.
Syracuse Climate Zone B: 7 hours per day from December 8 to March 23.

Check-in will be via online self-check-in; completing registration is MANDATORY in order to receive instructions on how to retrieve your keys and gain access to the apartment.
Keys can be retrieved free of charge via the on-site keybox.
In case of problems, telephone assistance will be available until 10:00 PM.

If you’d prefer to have a member of our staff deliver the keys to the apartment, this is possible upon request for an additional fee as follows:
- From 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM: 15.00 euros;
- From 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM: 25.00 euros.

In just a two-minute walk, you can also reach the daily market (open every day except Sunday), a traditional market brimming with local products and street food, where you can shop and savor local delicacies.
As you stroll through the island’s streets, you can admire centuries of history, splendid palaces, lively trattorias and cafés, as well as other landmarks such as Maniace Castle, the Aretusa Fountain, and Piazza del Duomo—one of the most spectacular squares in all of Sicily. In the summer, you can swim off the rocks or at some of the small beaches and sunbathing areas along the waterfront. Breathtaking views can be enjoyed year-round.
