Euriale Ortigia Apartment

  • Apartment with a small balcony with a nice sea view in a strategic position, 50m from the sea, washing machine, wi-fi and parking *.

    POSITION

    The apartment on the first floor of a building of two floors is located very close to the beach in a quiet area overlooking the quiet street in the historic center of Syracuse, Ortigia. Easily accessible from Catania Airport (60 km), airport Pio La Torre Comiso (100 km) or by train / bus (2 km).
    The apartment is in a strategic location for a relaxing holiday: 50 meters from the stop of the electric bus and access to the beach, grocery stores (bakery, supermarket, newsagent) are located in the same neighborhood, and cafes and restaurants are easily accessible by foot. The nearest beach is 300 meters away.

    WHAT IT OFFERS

    The apartment of about 55 square meters, and it ss on two floors: the first floor is a living room with flat-screen TV and sofa bed for two people; a fully equipped kitchenette with fridge, freezer, electric cooker, microwave oven, service cookware, tableware, kettle, orange juicer, kitchen towels and coffee maker.
    The bathroom is with shower and bidet. Because the ceiling is very high, it was created an additional floor with a full bedroom with a double bed with bedside tables, dresser and closet.
    The apartment has air conditioning / heating and it has its own modem with unlimited wi-fi connection.

    The balcony has a nice sea view. A laundry room with washing machine and iron is suitable on the ground floor (shared with other 3 flats).
    Please note that the apartment is on the first floor and has no lift.

    BIKES
    2 beautiful vintage bikes are available for free for my guests.
    I will provide you a pump, a lock and a key to regulate the seats of the bikes.
    I kindly ask you to use ALWAYS the lock and take care of them during your excursions.
    Please if you're interested in using them let me know in advance to check the availability.


    PARKING

    Ortigia is a limited traffic area particularly in the evening after 8 p. m and week-ends. Close to my flat there'are some free parking spaces.
    I strongly suggest you to reserve a parking space in a pay private garage or to park in the pay public parking.
    The pay public parking "Talete" is about 700 meters from the flat. You can easily reach the flat by walking or taking the electric bus.
    If you decide to park at Talete Parking, for unloading luggage during times of the ZTL, I can communicate your license plate to the police to avoid fines.
    The pay private garage (guarded) is about 250 meters from the flat. I'm not the owner but I'll happy to reserve for you a parking space. In this case the owner of the garage will provide you a "pass" to enter in Ortigia even during the ZTL times.
    For more info and / or to reserve a parking space in the private garage please contact me in advance as limited parking spaces are available.

Perfect base for exploring the Sicily East Coast

I had a great time visiting Ortigia and staying at La Gorgone Ortigia apartments. Euriale apartment was clean, compact, and had everything I needed. Roberta couldn't have been more helpful during my stay! She helped me to arrange transfers for my arrival, and as she was visiting Siracusa while I was there she met me on arrival. She had a map ready for me and gave me lots of tips for places to go on the island though, as she suggested, the best thing to do was really to wander around the beautiful streets and get lost finding things. Roberta was on hand and responded very quickly when I had any questions. The WiFi was good, and I appreciated the homely touches they made to the apartment. It is a five minute walk from a lovely pebble beach which is quiet and perfect for a swim in the morning. I also really enjoyed using the bike as it's a perfect way to get around the little island. There is a small supermarket, which is open late, about three minutes from the apartment, and a large lidl in Siracusa which is easily reachable by car or bus. I visited in mid-May and it was very hot, but dry rather than humid. The fan in the bedroom was much appreciated. I would recommend taking bug spray and the mosquitoes were very pesky in the evenings. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe and comfortable staying where I was, and everyone I met was very friendly and welcoming. I would love to come back soon! It was the perfect base for exploring the Sicily East Coast - thank you to Roberta and the family for a wonderful stay!

Very good location. Friendly reception.

Tastefully designed and decorated, it is situated perfectly for easy access to private parking and to begin your walks through gorgeous Ortigia. Roberta is also an extremely responsive host...even leaving us a little surprise for our honeymoon. Highly recommended!

Great stay in 2016,so chose La Gorgone again

2 years ago I and my girlfriend stayed at La Gorgone and we had a beautiful stay.This year we decided to come back in Ortigia and chose again this accommodation;they have updated furniture,with a general new look ;Really liked this new style!Good work! Owners make you feel at home,always smailing,very helpful.Fast wifi,clean apartment,close to everything,quiet location;there's a supermarket 100 meters away and you are just few meters from the sea;thanks for everything and we look forward to come back in summer!

non potevamo scegliere posto migliore dove alloggiare.L'appartamento é in un contesto tranquillo e a mio avviso nel quartiere più caratteristico di Ortigia,tenuto benissimo,pulizia accurata,disponibilità e cortesia dei proprietari;la possibilità di parcheggiare in un'autorimessa custodita é stato un servizio extra molto apprezzato;Senza dimenticare che abbiamo potuto utilizzare le bici una mattina per andare nella pista ciclabile favolosa!ritorneremo in estate di sicuro!
