Host was very accommodating and even left a little surprise package for us. Made for an unforgettable snowboarding trip, the house was well maintained and comfortable. Clean and very accessible in a great area.

Christmas decorations made us feel like we were visiting Grandma for the holidays. Kitchen was well equipped for our holiday cooking. Historical and family touches brought back many memories of past generations in my family.

Mom's Christmas Wish

It was my wish to have everyone together for the holidays but that is harder as adult children take on partners with families they also want to spend time with so we picked two weeks before the holiday for the kids, their partners and dogs to stay with us and my mom (85) who moved in last March. Igloo Alley was perfect. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, the three who had to work found quiet corners to be productive, the kitchen was well stocked so we cooked nearly every day and even continued our 30+ year holiday cookie painting party. We walked to town or to groceries effortlessly and watched holiday movies and listened to Christmas carols while enjoying the beautiful view. This house gave me my Christmas wish early. Thank you. We will all be back.

Great Tahoe Vacation Home

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and facilities, 10 minute walk to downtown Tahoe City. Five minute drive to Safeway and 15 minutes to Alpine Ski resort. View of the lake too! Plenty of bathrooms and storage spaces. Kitchen has all of your needs for a large family gathering. Spacious bedrooms and plenty of deck/yard space. Beds, linens and towels were first rate. Only issues were minor plumbing problems between the kitchen and laundry room utility sinks. TV reception was not great, but we really did not watch it anyway. Played cards and games every night. Tahoe Rental Management Team responded quickly and was very professional. I would rent again or highly recommend to another.

Driveway was shoveled and had no issues parking. Plenty of space, dishes, pots/pans. Having the warming room for ski equipment was a plus.The house could be more modernized tho. I had an unpleasant experience that kept me uneasy for 3 days. The first morning, I saw a mouse in the back Master Bedroom that scared/startled me. I did not want to alarm to other families and just moved all our food/bags in the kitchen to higher grounds. It might be good get an exterminator in.

Amazing Winter Getaway

Walking distance to trails, lakeside restaurants and tucked away in the woods with an enormous beautiful yard surrounded by trees. I loved waking up every morning seeing the lake outside the dining room window. They have ice skating down below at the Golf Course Clubhouse for families. I loved learning the history of the home when reading the books they have and sitting by the fire. Our family loved staying here for Christmas and the kids had a blast! Will definitely be renting again!

We Will Rent This Again

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second time renting this property, previously in the snow of winter and recently in the sunny summer. This house is a very comfortable, well equipped place that is very centrally located so that it is possible to walk to Commons Beach on the shore of the Lake, the golf course which parallel the back property line, the zip line course at Granlibakken, many restaurants in Tahoe City as well as Safeway and CVS. The house is clean and well equipped, the beds comfortable, and the patio furniture/grill in the back of the house are perfect for relaxing outside any time of the day. Our first stay was during “Snowmaggedon” in December 2021. Despite the fact that there was two-three feet of new snow daily for almost our entire stay, the house was warm, the drying room inside the house worked great, and the snow removal service came daily so despite the enormous amount of snowfall, we had no trouble getting out to the multiple local ski resorts. If you dream of a mountain chalet with high vaulted ceilings and enormous picture windows, this place is not for you. But, if you want a very functional, comfortable, convenient base for a Tahoe vacation independent of the time of year for a group of couples or a multi-generational family celebration, you should seriously consider this property.

A fabulous place for a family getaway

This place checked all the boxes for us, plus more! It had plenty of room for the four families, the snowy backyard was a winter wonderland for the 4 kids in tow, the kitchen had great space for cooking and conversation, and the living room was a cozy gathering spot. It’s a short drive to a local Safeway for groceries. And, when a heating issue popped up, the Tahoe Rental Company, the rental property management team were courteous, professional and quick to come out with a fix. It was a fantastic experience!

Lucky to have found this

This property was big enough to fit our big group. It has everything you need. I believe I was the first traveler in VRBO so I would suggest to put basics like oil, shampoo and soap. Other than that, what a fantastic place, we kept of playing all the games we found at the house. Thanks for your hospitality!

Great stay during our destination wedding

Property had ample parking and on a flat driveway. Easy access and very private back yard. Home is build in 1951 but maintained and very cozy and warm for all of us that stayed there. We all agreed we would like to gather there again in the future.

Perfect location

This place is perfectly located by all you’ll need to have a great stay in Tahoe. We loved that everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The beds were so comfy everyone commented on how well we slept and how cozy the feeling was. The place is not updated but it is clean and well laid out. Really didn’t need anything more. It had fans, ac, heat, fire. Washer dryer in case you need a quick wash. Best of all we easily Parked our boat in the front. Great overall, plan on coming again.

Large Tahoe Escape!

This home has plenty of room for a big family! It has so much character - something you don’t find often. This family owned home has so much love in it ❤️ And the backyard- wow!! We made so many memories there - we will definitely be back!

Great Tahoe hideaway

This home has a relaxing cabin feel on a beautiful property, is spacious, and has many amenities. The only disappointment was the backyard patio set and chairs were still locked up for winter. We were there over Mother’s Day weekend, it was warm, and we would have enjoyed it. Thanks for a great stay!

Loved this family home!

Our vacation was wonderful staying in this large mountain home. The yard, view of the golf course & lake are fabulous! We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen & cooking on the new 5 burner gas range. My family agrees we all want to vacation at this property again.
