Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by the warmth of the beautifully appointed living space, featuring luxurious finishes and a cozy atmosphere. The fully equipped kitchen is a chef’s dream, stocked with every gadget you could need, including an air fryer and rice cooker, as well as basic food staples to get you started.

The family-friendly design shines in the forest-themed kids’ room, where little ones can enjoy the twin over full bunk bed, fold-out sofa, TV, and a collection of 15+ vintage board games. For some competitive fun, head to the garage game area for foosball and ping pong.

Relax on the fully stocked deck with outdoor dining for the whole family, or soak in the hot tub as you take in the serene surroundings. No matter the season, you’ll stay comfortable with full AC and heating throughout the home—a rare luxury in Tahoe.

Woodland Haven is fully catered to families, with thoughtful touches like kids’ bamboo dish sets, high chairs, and two pack and plays. The master bedroom suite features a desk and work area for those who need to stay connected, supported by high-speed broadband and mesh routers ensuring seamless connectivity throughout the home.

Our concierge services can arrange everything from family activities and private ski lessons to grocery delivery and day trips like horseback riding and ropes courses. Whatever your family needs, we’ve got you covered.

Woodland Haven’s prime location offers endless opportunities for adventure. You’re a quick 12-minute drive to Palisades Tahoe for world-class skiing, and 18-20 minutes from Northstar for additional winter fun. In the summer, enjoy nearby Kings Beach and Commons Beach, or explore Tahoe XC for cross-country skiing adventures. Tahoe City also offers a variety of entertainment options, including outdoor concerts at Commons Beach, farmers markets, and family-friendly festivals​.

After a day of excitement, gather in the indoor dining room, which doubles as a game room stocked with 20+ board games and vintage games. Perfect for cozy nights in, enjoying some family competition, or winding down after a big day on the lake.

You have full and total access of our home during your stay, including an attached double car detached garage located at the front of the home. Feel free to stream any of your subscriptions on our Frame TV, make a home cooked meal for your family in our fully stocked chef's kitchen, or hop on your bike and head to Tahoe City for shopping, dining, boating, the beach, lakefront playground, and a range of activities.

If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP. Although there is not staff on site like a hotel, we do have our team in the area that can help.

Woodland Haven is located close to downtown Tahoe City, nestled among lush pines. This serene retreat provides convenient access to the best of Lake Tahoe and its surroundings.

One of the reasons you might be coming to the mountains is to escape the hustle and bustle of city living. That being said, the secluded nature of Woodland Haven means that you will be relying on your own private transportation to get from place to place. In the summer months just about any car will do, but you will definitely want a four wheel drive in the winter. Don’t rely on the standard car rental companies to make sure you get a quality car. Let our concierge book you a luxury vehicle that will be waiting for you curbside at the airport when you arrive. We can also arrange for a private shuttle bus for larger groups.

There is a keyless entry lock to the home which a code will be provided to you after you book with us.

You will have access to our digital guidebook and house manual so you can enjoy a stress free stay with us at the retreat.

Please be advised that certain amenities are subject to seasonal availability due to weather conditions. These amenities—including but not limited to BBQ grills, outdoor seating, fire tables, beach chairs, snow sleds, ice melt, and similar features—are dependent on weather and operational considerations (e.g. often not available at stores during transitional seasons). Availability may vary based on seasonal factors. If you have any questions regarding the readiness of amenities during transitional seasons, please feel free to contact us. While we strive to maintain access to all amenities year-round, outdoor amenities are generally only available during June - September.

The woodstove is for decorative purposes only and is not operational. The home is equipped with central heating to keep you comfortable during your stay.

Also note: no street parking. Please park in the garage or driveway only. Please do not block the bear box.

If you would like to host any sort of gathering at our home, please discuss this prior to arrival and we will try to accommodate your request. Our concierge may be available to help with event coordination as well.

Please treat the home with respect as there is a deposit and background check on all bookings. Profiles that are brand new with no prior reviews, or have less than 3 reviews total at a 4.5 rating or less out of 5 will be required to answer additional questions. The damage deposit is fully refundable at the end of a reservation assuming there is no damage to the property.

Please note that profiles with a review rating of 4.5 stars or less will not be allowed to book our property on an instant book basis and if for whatever reason the reservation confirms through the system, the reservation may be canceled. For guests with new profiles without reviews, these requests will be reviewed manually and will be subject to screening and questioning before a reservation may be confirmed.
