Great location - Shoreline right in the back.Great heating - the modernized “wood burning” stove worked very well because it got cold during the days when we were there. The cabin felt very homey and comfortable.

We enjoyed the time at the cottage. The lake is such a beutiful place to be. We found great places to eat and had nice walks while we were there.

We had a great time at cabin 13. Perfect for 2 people, bed was comfortable and kitchen nicely equipped. Right on the beach, beautiful view.

Christmas 2024 visit

Views of the lake were spectacular and would come back for another visit. A few suggestions for the owner to consider, would be to upgrade the cable service to include premium apps like Netflix and Hulu so guests can login to their account and watch movies and shows.

Absolutely adorable cabin right on a lake! Quiet and clean! The view is spectacular, couldn’t wish for better! I will definitely come back! Amazing escape from routine for two!

80th Birthday

Everyone was so helpful, on the back nine for us for sure. Had a wonderful spring day, and almost 7 “ of snow on my birthday. We have spent all of our birthdays and in September, it will be our 60 th anniversary at Tahoe Vista. Great summer vacations, thank you all, for some wonderful memories.

Absolute gem! This cottage was perfect for a weekend getaway with my dearest friend. The kitchen is stocked with what you need to make meals, the fridge has a freezer, coffee pot takes regular ground coffee (filters are provided), the shower was delightful, the bedding is super comfortable, the view is divine, there is a patio to enjoy a meal or morning coffee, the lake is literally steps away and two sun chairs are provided as are the beach towels for them. It’s quiet, safe, adorable, and absolutely wonderful! There is dedicated parking for 1 vehicle and two spaces for guests that are not dedicated to the unit. There are nearby walking trails in the forest, nearby dining, and Safeway is 2 minutes away. Loved it!

Anniversary getaway

Pros: Beautiful view,great location, Good communication with host, Cons: sewer backed up for half Our stay, Refrigerator very loud Motor (Husband), Heater fireplace motor loud (wife). If the sewer problem got fixed, I would highly recommend this place but because I know that’s a lot of work being a contractor (won’t get fixed) I probably will not come back to this location. Still lots of potential for future business

Beautiful spot

Great rustic cabin in a beautiful spot. Steps to the water. Views are amazing. Clean and well stocked other than linens. We were only left 4 towels and 2 face cloths for a 5 day/4 night stay. I had messages rhe manager prior to arrival to assure that they provided all linens. We reached out to the management company to get more but was told no. We had also been told there was laundry on site which was not true so we weren’t able to wash them and reuse. We had to go buy new ones. Disappointing because had we known we would not be left appropriate quantities we would have brought our own.

Horrible service for Cabin #13 at the Franciscan

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived and found the cabin freezing. The inspection person was just leaving and had turn on the gas stove/fireplace. Went to shower that evening and found the dispensers of shampoo and cream rinse were empty in the shower. Later that evening when the temperature in the cabin was in the 80's we discovered the thermostat was not working. We were able to figure out how to turn off the stove/fireplace but the next morning it was freezing again. We reported the issues to Tahoe North rentals that morning and received a voice mail message from Leila stating they were aware of the problem with the stove/fireplace because the prior renters had reported the issue to them. But the handyman couldn't fix it and were waiting for someone else to fix it. We were not told of this prior to renting the cabin on Saturday, the day before we arrived on Sunday. Also Lella stated that she would bring shampoo and cream rinse by that afternoon. We finally received our shampoo and cream rinse around 6pm after having to make 2 more phone calls starting around 4pm. We left a message for Leila but never received a call back. After our stay we touched base with Kelly Smith, one of the managers, on our disappointing service and he indicted he would make things right. After an offer of 10% off on a one night stay which equated to $23, we have decided to look elsewhere next time we go to Lake Tahoe. We have been renting this same cabin for over 15 years thru the Franciscan and have never received such poor service and experienced problems like this.

The scenery the location everything about it was a great experience. I met a wonderful lady that took me around the surrounding area to visit places I hadn’t seen. Then a wonderful dinner to finish off the stay.
